While other channels that feature OTR programs simply upload files they've downloaded from somwhere, the programs you'll find here have been carefully edited to remove the commercials and music unrelated to the comedy. I've also added a running commentary presented in hundreds of pop-up annotations to explain unfamiliar cultural references, the historical context of certain episodes or gags, and to share my random thoughts on the shows as they unfold while you listen. This commentary is intentionally easy to ignore, if you like: just shut off your screen or simply don't look at the it. What you end up with here is PURE COMEDY that can be as educational as it is entertaining if you read the annotations.

Btw Dennis Day ended up with 10 kids in real life even tho most of the time he was supposed 2 b a naive, unmarried kid. His wife & children appeared in one of JB’s later TV specials.

So great 2 have these early year episodes edited. They obviously got their rhythm pretty early. The humour holds up.
I'm 80. Listened to his shows in the late 40 early 50. My mom would listen. Even as a kid I appreciated his work. In the last 10 years I've listened via OTR. Left that organization some donations. Funny about OTR episodes. heheh I disliked singing of and snide comments writers had Dennis Day perform. Thank you for editing out Day's singing.

I am just 60 years old myself, but I grew up watching reruns of his show, and I still do today. The cast was filled with brilliant characters. Sadly, I still remember the day that Mr. Benny passed away. I was listening to a radio while I was at a bike fair at my elementary school (I was 10 years old) 😢
