Dhankar Lake Trek | Spiti Valley
Dhankar Lake is at 13500 feet in spiti valley, near dhankar monetary.
In this video, we trek till this lake from dhankar monetary and share our experience.
Time wise, it took us around one hour to reach the lake.
Difficulty level of the trek is fairly low, its more or less uphill walk, but altitude might make it tough for some.
trail is straight forward, minimum chance of getting lost.

I did this trek back in Aug'19. We were not able to cross the pass but the beautiful Bhabha valley is still fresh in my heart. This video threw me back in time. Lovely capture. :)

@@myclwrld i think July to Sept is a good time. We did in August & it was beautiful. We went till Pushtirang & couldn’t cross the pass due to risk of landslides. They told us some path was damaged & mules won’t be able to cross it, due to landslides which happened due to excessive rain..

How I would love a couple of weeks of peace and quiet trekking up from Kafnu after the mad, mad, absolutely mad World of COVID-19 we have all gone through. The smell of resin from the cedar trees would be divine, a cup of tea brewed on a little gas cooker and my miniature kettle, while I watch little white necked, brown dippers dancing on the stones at the River's edge. Then looking up in wonder at those distant white peaks towards the Pass. Now that would be my heaven!
What make and model cycle recommended you brother for hills ride ??? I want super comfortable ride...
Touring bike is best for comfortable ride. But that is expensive.for beginners I suggest MTB for hills and comfort.
