How screwed up do your personal priorities have to be that you can become so upset over the results of a kid's basketball game?

The players are wearing T shirts, one ref is wearing jogging pants the other is still rocking his 1/4 zip from work. Those parents need to get a grip. Grey hoodie and pointing lady should be sent to live in a zoo.

Sad that the opposing team had to step in and defend the coach from those parents

Why does the logo look like the patriots logo

As a teenager I once volunteered to fill in for two absent referees for a grade school age boys basketball game. I did the best I job I could as these games are chaos incarnate. Parents from both sides were booing, protesting and screaming insults from the jump! It got so bad that I stopped the game and gave the entire group a lecture on sportsmanship and manners. I must have been in a zone because they collectively shaped up and the game continued without further trouble. After the game they passed the hat and approached me with sincere apologies and a wad of cash. This was the mid 1980’s. Parents haven’t don’t seem to have changed much.

It’s a youth ymca game, come on people.

Its a small town obviously. Knowing small towns, everyone knows everyone and most of this probably has to do with personal reasons between them and the staff that blends itself into the mix. This is 20% about basketball in my eatimation.

There’s always that one or two parents that have to ruin every freaking basketball game baseball game and football game because they can’t control themselves. Worse than their own children throwing a tantrum. If you can’t control yourself stay away don’t embarrass your child.

When you teach children that sports are important, this is what you get. Just look at all the stupid things people do when their favorite team loses a game

I could be wrong, but before the shot, the score was 33-32. After the shot, it was 36-32. Was the team that had the ball the one in front? If that was the case, I would be a little disappointed by the fact he took the shot even though I figured it was a fortunate shot.

Glad I was a mediocre hockey player and was a ref when I was a pee wee. My parent never embarrassed me. Parents bitching at the ref over a buzzer beater is just stupid. Your kid’s team lost it for themselves, it’s not the refs problem. 🙄 One of the top reasons why I don’t and won’t ever be a parent. Obnoxious parents when I ref hockey.

Just a regular YMCA game where the parents complain and make a fool of themselves and management doesn’t do anything I would kick them of the ymca but it’s all about that membership money so it ain’t going to happen Finger pointing at the referees yelling in front of the kids typical Saturday morning game at the ymca

What is the parents even arguing about? The kid got last ball in hoop, everyone saw it, its even on video. I bet you anything he was like, "the game was rigged!" or something. So pathetic!

I was the best athlete in my 6th grade class...totally dominant! Just ask my mom if you dont believe me!!! Anyways that makes me uniquely qualified to argue with a bunch of volunteer officials and timekeepers about the outcome of an intramural basketball game.
