Almost a documentary.

As I got about halfway through, I started to have a vague recollection, that I saw this movie many years ago. And theres good reason, I didnt remember, coz its a thoroughly forgettable movie. Boilerplate detective movie, shallow and undeveloped characters, standard script with a lot of extra unrealistic parts due to the setting of the murder, with an attempt to make a cross between a murder mystery and a political thriller, both of which fall flat. And thoroughly forgettable performances by many otherwise decent actors, just like the movie itself. The only semi decent performance was Alan Alda. A way to pass 1½ hour, sure, but thats about it. I might watch it again in another 25 years, only coz I will have forgotten all about it again.
