Second My1STABILA Day in Annweiler
For the second time now, trainees from all over Germany were invited to take a closer look at the STABILA headquarters in Annweiler on 4 July 2024. Over 100 trainees came on a visit to the heart of the Southern Palatinate and were given the opportunity to look behind the scenes at the place where the famous yellow spirit levels are made.

I now have 24” 48” & 72” digital Love them. Only thing I noticed when I got my 24” is there was mini chips on the paint along the edge. I exchanged at my local store and it also has it. Just wondering if that’s normal
Yes Chipping of the paint is within our tolerance to a certain extent. We are working on keeping the flaking as low as possible. Can you send us a picture of the milling edge so that we can assess whether it is within our tolerance? and can you please remove the end cap of your spirit level on the side of the suspension hole? I have a question related to a similar staabila level. The 70T has 2 tapered end caps, and I wondered what is the purpose of the taper and the slots
Thanks for your comment 💛🖤 The tapered end caps ensure that the spirit level is easier to put in a pocket or similar. The holes are for suspension only 😊

I too have a 100cm Stabila type 196-2 tech level and its electronic module/unit failed its IP65 I sent the level to Stabila Repair center in Germany but it was sent back to me not repaired don't know why or what happened the level itself is in perfect condition I'd really like to get the electronic unit fixed or better still perhaps get the upgraded IP67 unit fitted into the level if its possible, i just don't want to have to fork out money for a new tech level! Can anybody help me out on this and thanks!!

Thoroughly enjoyable video and the comments and answers below also added to my knowledge pool. I'm just a DIYer, but I like to do things right. Looking to replace my old 'non' Stabila level and acquire a longer one at the same. Was pretty sure even before I arrived at your channel via your website (which doesn't appear of page 1 of a google search BTW, get you SEO sorted,😉😉) that it was Stabila level I wanted. This video made up my mind, that yup, I will be investing in one or two of your levels. Gonna watch part 2 now and then likely will watch some product specific vids that you mentioned as well. This is evolutionary. more tilers should get to know about this product. I've been doing tiling for decades, but I just found it out after 10 years, they released this model. the best part of this model is the duel purpose bracket, which fits the tile corner and aligns exactly as the tiles go its square way.

I’ve been a mason since 2001. I started out with wood levels. After 10 years I switched to Stabila and I love them! I’ve owned a few. I should probably send a couple back. I’ve got a 16” that the vial is ruined and a 48” that is bent. But I love them and I would never buy another brand. Got Mit Uns

When the volume is muted, only a short beep sounds. The setting is retained after the unit is switched off. How does this work when it says muted only a short beep sounds is this when it's level 🤔
The mute function is for the acoustic guidance of the leveling system. The buttons continue to make a short sound (including when the electronics are switched on). The single short beep in the video comes from the function buttons.💛🖤
The way it reads in manual when sound is off u get a short beep when level is this not correct. And do I have to register the warranty 😊

No, the Type 196-2 is not magnetic. Sticking something inside would distort the measuring accuracy. But we have a lot of different mangetic spiritlevels

How does it work I have the levels but need 14mm over 1m so how is the mm calculation work?
We are not sure how we can help. To see a 14mm tilt, just follow the display - or what exactly do you mean?

How well do these really hold up to being dropped? Apprentice dropped my brand new 1800 Stabila level and the centre bubble was done, just became an expensive stick at that point

I do like the idea and will probably pick one up but I think the likes of the Lufkin multi-read with a scale in the centre of the tape measure that adds on the tape measure body width is more useful because you can see more of the scale instead of this tiny window like on this tape, I can imagine easily being confused because it lacks perspective. You only see 30mm not the nearest 100mm demarcation. Not sure if this comment will be read 😅
We read every comment 😉 You can also use the BM 150 like a normal tape measure, the window is intended to help with cut-outs (e.g. for windows).
