Astro bot isn’t going to move the needle in gaming. However, the game is actually looking incredible. It looks like just old school platforming fun. I really hope that this game sells well and they make it a series for the long haul. Japan for the W again!

You're so bang on with Online multiplayer going away. It'll take a bit more time cause it does make Xbox a lot of money but once Game Pass Core is too compelling on its own, they won't need it. They have to deal with the Free to play monster made by Apple and Google. Subscription is one method, lowering production costs is another for sure. Hopefully other ways to be healthy emerge.
