His mother, Lucky already been on our resident list since the early 2000s and his new son Hope has been sighted for the first time in 2019. Greater Green Leafbird

This conspicuous green bird usually seen dwelling inside the canopy and often join mixed flocks with other species of birds. Male has distinctive black mask and throat and invisible for female. This male spending his time by visiting this tree cavity during the peak of the day, for a quick dip to get the heat dispersed out from his body.
Buffy Fish Owl or Malay Fish owl

This large owl spotted roosting in our lodge compound. As we try to minimise our disturbance, the owl seems more caution and alert on our presence. Buffy Fish Owl is one of the largest owl in Borneo. This species inhabit tropical forest with high preference of wetlands, such as rives and lakes to suit their diet preferences.

The Pygmy Elephant is a huge tourist attraction. I hope everyone within the area of the place frequently visited by those magnificent creature knows that they generate income for Sabah. Since Sabah has been left behind in terms of progress and sophisticated infrastructures - please ensure that these pygmies are not killed by poachers or by those palm plantation owner. Give them access to their pathways. Do not block their way if they want to migrate to the other side. I am one of the contributor to WWF Malaysia. I hope many more government servants contributes as the contribution they make will be exempted from Income Tax.
