I remember this quite clearly. I lived in Southend and was at school that day, WE had our assembly, notices and The Lord's prayer. Our school, Southend High for Girls, had quite a few students from Canvey., as did many of our local highschools, both secondary grammar and modern probably did as well. If I recall properly, I believe we had a call to assembly sometime later that day, and our Headmistress, Miss Cowell gave us the news,

Mac..a very brave man

A tank engine on a local train heading for Lowestoft was hit on the smokebox by a bungalow carried on a wave of water. The fire was put out and the moon revealed water all around, even covering the tracks on the low embankment. After a while, with the guard's axe and his broken floorboards, the fire was relighted and the train cautiously continued its journey though the rails were covered with water and all in the moonlight.

Thus has NOTHING to do with climate change, DON'T use the deaths & destruction of people & property for your own agenda you scum.

How disgusting is that using a natural disaster to future your agenda how low some people will go just to line their pockets
