Sounds like a fantastic and memorable experience, thanks for sharing! I'm also a big Cubs fan who finally made the trip there in April. I grew up in Illinois watching them but moved away in my teens, I had been to a lot of road games, even a playoff game in 2015, but never to Wrigley. It's not just an iconic ballpark, but also an iconic American landmark. Glad that you were able to get on the official tour --- I didn't get a chance to do that, but during the rubber game in this series (this video was taken during the 1st game), there was a lengthy rain delay that gave me the opportunity to explore the ballpark in more detail than I did here in this video. I hope you were able to check out the 2016 World Series trophy on display too. They're definitively having a bit of an underachieving year (what else is new!😅) but they have a great farm system and I think the future is bright - I hope you get many more opportunities to visit Wrigley and other MLB ballparks in the future!

Yes, it is beautiful! And yes, good call on waiting until it cools down a bit, since this was definitely a sweaty one for me! 😅 This looks like it could be a great place to visit for fall foliage.

The view is certainly beautiful! There's certainly not enough parking! 😂But the further west you go in Hoboken, it should be easier to find on-street parking. I usually like to park near the ShopRite in the northwest part of town where it's less busy and easier to find parking, and then just walk everywhere in town. It should only be about a 10-min walk to the waterfront from there. On-street parking used to be free over there too, but now it's metered (but not too pricey).

Thanks! Really glad to hear you enjoy my videos! I hope it's useful. I've only been to White Plains about three times and it seemed like a safe area at least to me. That being said, there are parts of the NYC area that I personally believe are less safe than White Plains, and I would imagine less safe than The Netherlands. I have never been to the Netherlands, and I haven't been to Europe in the past 7 years, so it's hard for me to say what exactly the perception of the US and the NYC area is over there and whether it reflects the reality on the ground. I do think though that there are a lot of differences between US and Netherlands. From what I hear, the Dutch are used to living in places that are easy to walk around and they also like to ride a lot of bikes. Those kinds of places are harder to find in the USA, especially in the suburban areas, where people mostly drive. So that's another aspect of living in the USA that may be difficult to get adjusted to for someone from Europe---thats just one cultural distinction but I'm sure there could be others. Anyway, hope that info is helpful and good luck with your move!

Yeah, I definitely recommend that you check it out! It's a really beautiful waterfall for sure, and it's easy to get to if you're not that into long hikes. Since the park has only been open since April, it's certainly a hidden gem (for now)!

Thanks! I'm a Cubs fan but believe it or not, this was my first visit there. I was actually supposed to go there once when I was a young fan, but it didn't work out and then I moved away from Illinois to across the country. But I finally had the chance earlier this year, which was a dream come true. And yes even the exterior is unique in its own way since most ballparks nowadays are not in the middle of an urban neighborhood like this one.

I think I've been around that area once before but haven't visited since I started this channel, and didn't plan to cover that far this video, so maybe sometime later I head up near that area if that's something you'd like to see. One video I've been wanting to do near there is a walkthrough of the CCNY campus.

Thanks for watching my videos! I use a GoPro Hero 12 for the vast majority of my walking and driving videos. Occasionally I may even just use my phone camera for some videos depending on the situation, but I usually use the GoPro for videos on this channel. Some of my older walking videos (from 2021) were shot with the DJI Osmo Pocket 2.

Can't really go wrong with either in my opinion, though both have their pros and cons. The GoPros have been fairly sturdy, though my old GoPro broke after about 2 years of usage. Another downside with the GoPro is it performs very poorly when walking in low light, but at least the upside is I figured out how to do dashcam driving videos with the GoPros, it's a much more straightforward setup than the DJI Pocket camera. In contrast the DJI camera is actually very good in low light from my experience, and it's more discreet. But my original DJI camera also broke after about 1 year of use, smh...the gimbal stopped working because of some overheating issue, so I was a bit wary about replacing it with the same or similar model.

@@walkingdrivingincognito I know what you're saying.. another pro on the gopro is that you can just jump in the water with it. with The DJI you can't. But Still, I'm kinda leaning tours the the dji because of the new 1 inch sensor. I currently own a gopro 8 though. Just in case I wanna do a video in the rain or lake.

Agreed, the GoPro definitely handles water really well. If you dig deep enough into my video catalog, you'll find a walk that I did at Niagara Falls a few years back. That was a pretty wild walk, and that one I shot with my old GoPro. I'm not sure how the DJI camera would've performed there!

Interesting, I had no idea things were that bad over there. I've actually never been to L.A. before. Yes, over in this neighborhood, things seem to be pretty lively, it's a big nightlife area and it's close to NYU. But in Midtown Manhattan, you still do occasionally see some vacant storefronts on a few blocks.

It could vary widely depending on what part of NYC you're going to and how much traffic there is, but I would guess maybe an hour and a half on average to get to Midtown Manhattan.

@@matuu888 Northern Queens is actually pretty big too, I would guess maybe an hour to somewhere like Flushing? There can be a lot of traffic congestion on those highways in Queens too during the busy hours. But Google Maps can also give you some pretty good estimates of how long it would take.
