I was born in 1983, this song was popular in 1964 and now its 2023 and I still listen to this song..I'm obsessed, is there something wrong with me 😅???
"World Without Love" was written by Paul McCartney when he was 16 YO. Five years later, when he was 21 and dating Peter's sister Jane Asher, he gave the song to her brother to record. Jane was 17 when they met and broke up due to Paul's infidelity five years later. She was an accomplished actress who went on to be a novelist. Songs that Paul wrote for Jane include "For No One" (Revolver), "And I Love Her" (Hard Days Night), "I'm Looking Through You" (Rubber Soul), and "You Won't See Me" (Rubber Soul).
I wondered who this guy was as I had seen this clip years ago but no name was given for this performer, and now I finally know! He was an exceptional player for the mid 1960's and shares some similarities to British guitarists like John Renbourn. I did manage to find a single thread online of a few people who knew him and actually played with him.
They were wonderful remember Knight in Rusty Armour one of my favorites of theirs thanks for the compilation much appreciated Auckland New Zealand 2023

LMAO 😂 The British rock invasion was excellerated by the dubbed background audio from a roller coaster ride of screaming teenage girls
Everyone can survive in a world without love, barely and miserably!

A Buddy Holly song. Beautiful song.
My favorite from Peter and Gordon.
Mesmerising piece.
Touching the heart of our most intimite emotional vulnerability... LOVE
Beautiful song!
The Beatles didn't want to sing this song, they felt it was too depressing!
Takes me back to 10 o'clock, Sunday mornings in the '60's, when Casey Kasum would roll out that weeks American Top 40 on WMEX in Boston.
Close to the early BEATLES & a bit HERM' HERMiTS
Amazing duo loved their songs.
I’ve watched these two in a black and white TV back in the 60’s! Thanks for sharing!👍🏼
I think the song Woman, is a sexy song; yet still classy.
Peter was meant to be on color television.

John and Paul wrote all their big hits!
With Peter Asher's dark glasses and carrot top hair it would be easy to pick him out of any crowd.
I've always wondered how Chad Stewart and Jeremy Clyde and Peter Asher and Gordon Waller would sound as a quartet.
Thanks for sharing,,iam one of the big fans back in the 60s……
My son also Loves the 60s music. This is real music.
1964 The year of the British Invasion was to change the course of music history forever.

People who don't like their music have no idea what good music is.

Thank you Utube for keeping this music alive!
Paul McCartney wrote Women under a pseudonym.
Peter has a cute smile.
I am sure alot of us fell in and out of love and listen to this great song 😢
Electrical acoustic guitars with no cables plugged in and no mic in front of the guitars. American TV made them be Milli Vanilli with their own songs.
I love these Peter & Gordon songs. Never knew Paul McCartney wrote them. ❤️
Rock and roll will never Die. Hail hail rock and roll ❤
