macOS Sonoma 14.0 + Logic Pro X Sound drops out randomly = SOLVED!!!
When my Mac updated to the latest version of macOS - Sonoma (14.0), my Logic Pro X projects kept dropping sound after just a few seconds of playback. This issue would cause all sound for the entire system to be gone. The only way to get it back was to restart the logic project, and then pause it before the sound cut out.
HAPPY TO REPORT, I'VE SOLVED THE PROBLEM! Have a watch!
Thanks to the good peeps over at www.logicprohelp.com/

Why spend money on a motherboard when you only need a piece of scotch tape that you can cover couple of the pins on the ribbon cable that goes to the panel. That one ribbon cable right by the speaker. put a tiny piece of tape in about the middle of it. TV will stay on with good picture. You wasting your time doing all that you are doing there.

It’s probably too late, since you posted this a year ago, but I had a very similar issue with my Samsung UN55KS8000FXZA that kept boot cycling. It was fixed with the scotch tape method. I knew I had a good power supply, but was not sure about the main board and led panel. I went ahead and installed a new main board and no change. I did not find any burned resistors on the led panel. Went back to scotch taping along the 2 connectors on the main board. Tried a few different sections and then all of a sudden, voila! For anyone out there with a Samsung and who has tried almost everything, try the scotch tape method again on various sections. You may get lucky! It’s worth a shot and costs zero dollars!

Odd - for me and many others - disabling the pitch solved this issue. Try looking through the blog post in the comments - you might find other answers there. Most notably though, you could try making the pitch track an audio file - then bringing it in already pitch"ed" and see if that works. Hope this helps.

I managed to fix my TV (kinda) with the tape method as many of you suggested. My TV is the Samsung QE50Q65TAU so a Qled model form the year 2020. I had the exact same error going on in the Video and it is neither the PowerSupply nor the Mainboard so in my case replacing them would be useless, but that could vary i guess. I used the FrugalRepair video called: "I fixed a broken 4K 55” TV with TAPE | How to fix a TV with a blank screen" and used the same steps in evaluating which board and which pins are affected. For me it was the right side panel board and i fixed it by taping some pins corresponding to the Clock (CK1-8) lines on the little ribbon cable that goes from the first thin panel board on the left to the right one. It is still not 100% fixed as we checked each pin and narrowed it down it has to be Pin 9 and 11 starting form the left side. When we did not tape on of these two pins the TV would restart and cause the error we started with. There are still very noticable horizontal lines going through the TV but atleast it is working now and displaying a picture. We even left Pin 10 which was known good out and only taped very tiny pieces of tape on the Pins 9 and 11 but the image quality still would not imporve. We checked each diode on the Panel board called Clock 1 to 8 with a multimeter and measured that the clock 2 diode only displays ~1.3V instead of the usual 1.6V the other clock diodes measured. Is there any way to replace these soldered-on diodes? I think they are called SMB diodes and they are very tiny and not easily accessible. If anyone has some ideas which we could try to fix the missing clock lines and thus the worse image quality, i would gladly appreciate that. Good Luck to everyone!

I will take my chances replacing the PSU, but i am afraid that the problem remains some where on the panel. The TV is from 2019 and it was working only 3h a day. How come it be faulty in 3 years? Maybe it is some kind of scheduling obsolescence. This phenomenon means that Tv was made to stop working after a certain time. I replaced mainboard and issue remains. Then i replaced PSU and the TV is now flawless.

The display has connected through COFs what's called a driver board. This is a long board on the left under the display and 2nd on the right. If your TV is bigger like 70" you'll have one in the middle in the newer ones like EU series, and than 2 connected with it on the sides. This driver board has a problem somewhere. You should not blame the MoBo as you did, nor PSU. Some of these repairs you can fix, some you won't. On this/my YT channel you have playlist TV repairs, I show some stuff, others still learning. Will post more when learn new types of faults.

Hey Pickle-Rick!! I'm working on a similar issue. A new main board did not fix the issue. I've tested all of my LED's and they're all good. Voltages at the power board are steady, but they're abound 68 vdc. There's some info on the power board that states 129 volts for the 75" TV, but I can't find that voltage anywhere. I get the 13volts at each terminal on the power cable that I'm supposed to get. But when the ribbon cables are disconnected my Standby voltage is supposed to be 7.5v but I get 10.85v. The TV will stop cycling when either ribbon cable is disconnected, but if both are connected then it cycles again. I have a new power supply board coming, that I can return if it doesn't help. The fact that the LED's stay on and the cycle stops when only one ribbon cable is plugged in has me puzzled. I did think that perhaps the power supply board is not putting out enough current when both ribbon cables are connected, which is why I ordered the power board. Any ideas Cucumber Man?

      1) disconnect one side of the screen see if you get a picture, if you don’t reconnect the screen and try the other side! 2) get a piece of clear sellotape about 1cm, and remove the lower ribbon cable on the main board and place the tape on the cable covering the top connections making sure the tape is folded over covering the brass coloured connections on the other side of the flat ribbon cable..plug it back into the main board and try it again 3) if that didn’t work, try the bottom of the ribbon same cable.. 4) repeat on the top flat ribbon if that didn’t help

@@wisher21uk Thank you! The cellophane tape did the trick, and got the power to stop cycling. But even with the new main board I had purchased, there were small horizontal lines across the screen. Therefore, I put the original main board back in and cut a narrower width of tape, around 2-3mm in width. It took several trail and error attempts to keep the set from cycling, but even with the small width of tape I have the horizontal lines. My wife knows I love to learn from things like this, but she's seen me put a lot of time into it. She came over with an ad from Best Buy for an early Black Friday sale; a 75" Samsung TV new for under $600. That's pretty amazing to me. This UN75RU8000FXZA weighs 85 pounds. I don't know if this new 75-inch is as good, but I'm baffled at how they can make and sell a similar TV for $600.

    • @screen-protector
      @screen-protector Před rokem

In newer Samsungs you've got only 1 LVDS connector and covering with a tape won't work most of the time. You have to understand the fault on the driver board and than try to fix it. Sometimes swapping the mainboard will help, but if it's a short on the display driver board, you'll have the same fault after some time. I had a customer who came back after 2 months. I'd never bet it would happen, but it did. So, either you know what you're doing, or you're guessing ;) IMHO.

@@aaronowens7620 hi Aaron, if you search for "repair led panel with tape" on CZcams the first result is from a chanel called "FrugalRepair". He explained what is done as he blocks certain contacts on the flat cable leading to the led panel. The only problem is to find the right lines on the flat cable to block. On my qe75q6 it was the bottom flat cable on the motherboard and the sync lines I had to block were pin 15-17 from the right. I have a picture but cannot post this here.

I saw a video that semed to solve it if it wasnt a capacitor on the mobo - there is a single pin in the cable from mobo to psu that is wonky. Newsons electronics channel - easy fix video title.

I have the un55mu6290fxza with motherboard model bn41-02568.. very similar problem but following typical diagnostic protocol it looks like it's the main board.. but due to it powering on the moment I plug it in makes me think it's the PSU.

you figure this out brandon? I saw a video showing it was a single pin in the cable fromthe psu to mobo.... others had bad capacitor on mobo... curious to see what yours was. about to go piick one up w ssame issue & will need to fis it

No. I replaced the board and still no tv. I think the lcd panel is burned. I was trying to find the power panel but I can’t find it on eBay.

@@lancek7533 Bummer. I have the same issue. I narrowed it down to either the Main board or the LCD (nothing looks burnt or shorted on the LCD, but I don't know how to test it. I ordered a main board today and have my fingers crossed. I had recently repaired the TV but it had a different issue, which ended up begin solved by replacing the Power board. Now I think a google chromecast shorted something out. The place where I purchased my parts was fairly inexpensive and has 20% restocking fee, in case you'd like to check if they have yours. It was called TVpartstoday. From what I've researched, and it is apparent you have as well...your power board seems fine, but you never know. Good Luck!

Angel Carreon thanks! I was only looking on EBay but now that you mention, I’ll check out the web and see what I can find. I’m not sure based on the tests in a few videos I’ve seen that it’s the power panel- but worth the $80 or $100 to try. Good luck to you too
