Echo red armor 40:1 with ethanol free fuel is what I use, not a fan of ultra “pond water”
It looks like the 400c beat the 500i ! 😅
Is your 500i ported? 🤔
The oem Filter is pretty good in my opinion. I never had any problems with it and I'm running the HD 2 Filter on all my saws! It looks like the custom saw dudes want to sell their cheap money produced foam Filter with high profits!
Thanks for testing all this stuff plus the bar oils. I am really liking that steadfast muffler for the 562 man.
Will be watching to see what you think Wes. I am going to be mounting up my two light bars really soon. 😉
Gotta love days like this😂
Bout time I get a few new bars an chain
I like the stihl bars as well,we always use to run oregon power match bars alot we was in dirty swampy conditions and they was cheaper and then when one got messed up or wore out it wasn't as costly to replace, but nowadays I like the light bars the older I get
Your neighbors must hate you.
@@Red-uf4hr they do
But which one will last longer. And does it matter?
U gotta wipe that lense or focus the shot
Like this series on the air cleaners! That blow down was tough to take care of and good job getting it down. I like cheap oil just fine and have been getting that stuff at Atwood’s farm supply. That mystic stuff sounds great as well. I like oil that is a tad more on the thin side and I would NOT buy 40 or $50 oil. From the food grade side of things, I guess it maybe could matter but that is not what I am doing so I am not too worried about it.
Question on the 400c vs 462c. I currently own a Husky 550xp and a Stihl MS290. I have grown tired of my Husky as the much cheaper Stihl has proven more reliable. When running good, the Husky 500xp is slightly faster and lighter weight, but the Stihl just runs perfect everytime I pick it up, while the Husky floods easily and can be difficult at times. I took the Husky to the shop AGAIN, but am most likely just going to grab another Stihl saw, but bigger. I am debating between the 400c with a 25" light bar or the 462c with the 28" light bar. Which do you recommend? I own 9 acres that and have a lot of trees of various sizes...ranging from saplings to some white oaks over 36" in diameter. This last year beetles got into my pines after the drought and killed about 150 trees...which I am removing now.
❤
I been cuttn a few beech trees on a new setting i on.

I got a jug of poulan bar n chain oil it’s a purple color n man I really like it
Interesting about the 572 filter knobs slacking off - I've never noticed mine do it but I'll check it out the next time I run it. I've never run the high dollar bar oil - I just run the cheapest, tackiest stuff - I get it from my local hardware store....
Mystic oil seems to be good,I like it
So sad :(
Mystic and Harvest King bar oil works just as good as the DGP but costs much less IMHO. Don't fall for the snake oil sales pitch.
Dgp sucks for summertime use…not impressed in performances or price…luckily it was sent to me free ..I’d never pay that much for bar oil…maybe in winter time it might be ok ..still over priced
I use that bar oil too works good for me
066 💪
I barely ever check em man! I will be looking into this Wes. Thank you!
My 562 gets fines in the intake for sure. Was surprised when I found that.
I keep having ppl say that porting is going to cause the saw to fail more quickly. I don’t know but I feel as if if the saw is cutting more quickly, and therefore produces more work in a shorter amount of time, is it actually degrading the saw more quickly. I wonder if there is only so many revolutions it can possibly make all things equal. Now, potentially less head temp in a ported saw could actually lengthen the life. Who knows!?
@@oakiewoodsman i agree
Wow! I knew material would transfer in the Top End but not on the Handle! 😂

Thankyou sir for the videos. It helps is alot and i for one really appreciate the education
👌🏻👌🏻
Love husky saws
Well hopefully when you get it fixed up they will take good care of it and it will last along time for them
Sharp chain and good oil is the most important in either stock or modified saws
Hey Mr lynch.. I seen a couple of your videos and was really impressed with how they ran. Maybe one day I could pay you to do some port work on a saw or two of you do that still. I know this was kinda a random comment or request and probably not the best way to message you. Thanks to all y'all doing the work and the videos
What length are the bars in this video ?
@@PhillipDrumz 2fters i believe ive made so many hard to remember i have several vids of 20inch 28inch 32 and 36 through out my channel
The WCS setup is nice …I got a 572 here now that has one on it..like you I also put grease under the aluminum base then tightened it down
GOD is Amazing 🎉🎉
I haven’t found any fines on my 572xp but just as precaution I put some rubber grease between the intake flange and the plastic base of the filter
Was that a dead tree? Roots seem awfully weak for being that big
Always good to check them filter tighten when you fill it up is a good idea
You did a good job Mr. Mitchell...
Good troubleshooting Mr. Mitchell...+1 Folgers...
Wouldn't give up my trusty ol' 261cm being my #1 as others have stated, but I do see a 400c making it's way into my arsenal! Not really a big husky fan, but I'll put up with them if I have to. Great video!
Looks like a nice tree!
Very nice that saw sounds awsome, looks and sounds strong
I have heard about them Mastermind saws. Good to see one run!
Are you finally warming up to Husqvarna? I started liking Husky more than Stihl...I have both. 400 and 500 are great, but outside of that, Stihl is becoming stale.
@@duck-n-cover477 i had husky 372 390 back in the day but went to stihl when i tried 500i and 400
