I usually keep quiet on the internet but I need to write down my thoughts, to be able to let go. I am 21, in an apprenticeship and earning decently. Seeing similar experiences from people, already helps me a lot with letting the guilt go. I just came back from the drugstore and thought I'd treat myself to some skincare and beauty products. Since I am cashstuffing and have my finances all planned out, I thought nothing of it except a happy feeling. Because why not treat myself to something when I have finally gotten my spending under control, right? When I got to the cashier and saw the amount I felt like I had this huge pit in my stomach. My thoughts are racing on how bad I did with my budgeting and that I have no money left in this category for the month because I had to dip into my other categories to pay for all of it and that I should've calculated the amount beforehand etc... I just feel so guilty, so so guilty. I think it has been passed down from my mother, cause we didn't have a stable financial situation, as I was growing up. I can just hear my mother in the back of my head being hurt and disappointed. The thing is that I literally need the stuff I bought, but I can't seem to shake the guilt. Reading all these experiences, makes me feel less alone and less guilty, so thank you all for sharing your stories! 🫶

If you need to cash out your money either early or during your grace period, for some banks, you have to call your bank from weekdays and during working hours. I dont do cd ladders anymore. ATM, I have a Tbill ladder with my brokerage account, since there the money cash it out automatically and I dont have to deal with a government website.

I wonder if theres a way too specialize on how too build cd ladders 🪜

Or there are cds that have a minimum deposit of 500 and the short terms seam to have real good yield so using here 12,000 and dividing it by 500 that is 24 500 dollar cds you could get so now you can set up a cd every week for about six months ok ok you are going to bee a week or two short. But once you fill the other 2 missing weeks out. Boom you now have a robust savings account that you have access to once a week. I mean still keep the emergency account like she says an make it matxh one cd but now you can add as much or as little to your cd ladder and you can do it weakly you could be like well got that bonus this week ill just add an extra 200 to that one and next week well got to pay something extra well ill only add 5 buck to that one and so on now once you double the minimum deposit you can start splitting them so if a one year term gets you mor interest than a six month take half put half into a one year keep the other half as a six month eventually you will convert all the cd into a one year aka 52 weeks and you have one opening every week the down fall with going from 6 month to 12 month is that now you just start out with 500 a week again aka if you stuck with 6 mo you can get a grand right to gather as to the 12 month now ya got to weight 2 weeks to get a grand
