No. We never get days off. We join the vessel and then after few months/year we disembark. Only way I know that there is diference in day is because Saturday is stake day and Sunday we rexeive ice cream.

I've been onboard this ship. When i was a kid my dad said we were going to visit the Enterprise. Naturally i had visions of Star Trek and was so.ewhat disappointed that it was a ship. He knew one of the officers and we went on a tour of this impressive vessel. This was during the Vietnam Era so there 3 burned out jets on deck which we explored. Somehlw we lost out guide group and were perfectly happy on our own. So.e sailor came running up to us asking if we were the lost kids and we told him we weren't so he ran off. Thinking back i guess he was looking for us. But i enjoyed that ship and will never forget it. And, thanks Dad.

Been at sea 20 years and load lines checked by myself as master very regularly but last time I had port inspector check them was before and after dry docking !!!!! Asia Africa Latin America I have never had inspection of load lines that I was ever made aware of ! Mac port authorities globally are to say the least a little lacking in competence department . Did get pulled in Aberdeen 10 years ago as it was stated that my load line markings were not clearly visible needed sorting I was on blocks in dry dock at the time and had just had hull and prop polish and anode replacement still being actioned So told MCA and other agency clown to come back in 4 days when we have completed anti fouling process ect and new paintwork applied ???????
