      Agree completely! But even, if you don't even use the money, what use is it? It really determines how you use it. Do you view it as a pot of money that will eventually drain, or do you use it to create a cash flow river that continuously produces for you?

    This dude looks like the Rock’s little brother from a white mother. Iffff ya smellllll, what Jigsaw Financial, is coaching! Seriously though, this is valuable info, as most people just look at the monthly (re)payment and don’t realize how ludicrous the end result is. A person in this situation is better off (if possible) transferring that balance to a zero interest card, dividing the balance by the number of months of the zero percent interest rate, and hammer down and pay it off (or as much as possible) in that time.

    • @JigsawFinancialCoaching

      Absolutely! It is similar to those who believed that they would have their student loans paid off by the government. So instead of taking advantage of those 0%/0 payment months and paying off their student loan, they let it sit. Now those student loans are back with a vengeance. Thanks about the Rock's little brother. I just need to lift more and eat more protein. haha!

    They spend their stipend on drugs and self medication because they are incapable of coping with reality, mostly because their parents, teachers, and government failed to prepare them for the world, and failed to leave them a world they see worth inheriting. All part of the cycle man.

    • @JigsawFinancialCoaching
      @JigsawFinancialCoaching Před 4 měsíci

      Exactly! The majority of those who received the stipend used it to buy more of things they didn't need instead of using it to get ahead and to become more financially stable. Honestly, I was quite upset getting the stipends thinking "Oh, the government will find a way to recoup this money from us." So I just threw it in my emergency fund, expecting that to happen. There is a reason the sign says to not feed the animals at the national parks.

    solid advice for people that are in the middle class but poor people are poor because bills outpace their income. people don’t want to talk about this fact but being poor is more expensive than being middle class. how i mean by that, go to the store and look how much it costs to buy the 4 pack of toilet paper vs buy the big bulk pack. the cost equivalent of getting enough 4 packs of toilet paper to equal the bulk pack is like 20% more than the bulk pack, but poor people do not have the luxury of buying the bulk pack to save money because the bulk pack costs more up front money that a poor person would not have to save that 20% on a necessity item that has no expiration date. now apply that to everything you buy like your groceries for instance. yea if you have bad spending habits and blow your money on things like starbucks everyday when you don’t have a lot of money, that’s on you; but most people in poverty don’t have the kind of money it takes to even buy that starbucks coffee everyday to begin with so to say the reason they’re poor is because they have poor spending habits and all they have to do is spend their money better is incredibly patronizing.

I wish no one to be in the situation you described. But there are even people who do choose to be poor and some who do not but are do to illness and disability. I would need to know more about the situation than just your income. I have worked with clients making around $250K and still in a mountain of debt, not knowing where their money is going, and living pretty close from paycheck to paycheck. I am working with a client making around $2K - $3K and since working on his budget, he is making ends meet while throwing some at his debt. It's not comfortable, and he is applying for a few other part time jobs to get more income, to pay off his debt more quickly. You have to have not just motivation to get it started, but discipline to see it through.

    Pure ignorance. There is no saving if everything one makes goes to necessities. Being rich does not automatically qualify you as economist. • @JigsawFinancialCoaching
      @JigsawFinancialCoaching Před 6 měsíci

      If you are saying that I am ignorant, then you don't know the life that I have lived. I have lived poor, but I tightened up my boot straps and got to work. I worked hard to get out of living paycheck to paycheck. Even when I was out of it, I still made some stupid financial decisions. I have recovered from those, and am now continuing to make shoot for my future financial goals. If you are living paycheck to paycheck, I believe you can do that too. I know you can. You have to make a decision that you have had enough. That you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. That you work too dadgum hard to be this dadgum poor. If you want to talk about it, let's talk. There's no judgement. I've been there.
