The "organs keep growing while the fish stop" has been disproven many times.... That doesn't mean you can keep 30000 3in koi in a pond though. I had 3 12in koi in a 75gal aquarium in my apartment for 12 years before I could build them a pond, now they're closing in on 20in.

I was listening too your vid on my way home bc a wave maker system came with my tank and was thinking about using one as well and wanted to see if anyone used them on fresh water. Then I saw your sumo and I literally just searched that hob on sump the other day. You got a sump video walkthrough on that?

I've tried 3 or 4 times over the years to keep these everything is spot on but they only live for 4 or 5 months and they all go the same way upside down you think they are dead but not sometimes for a couple of months all other fish perfect

Oh man… only just discovered this channel. Was going to ask a question about the osmocote plant fertiliser but looks like I am too late😢. Peace brother. Looks like you are into bigger and better things now (ie not utube). Your aquarium journey seems similar to mine. Gave up on the high tech, liquid ferts years ago… I like cheap. Dirt, cheap garden ferts, all sounds good to me. My question was ‘how do you refertilise an old depleted dirt substrate’ with the osmocote? I understand you load up a tank first when you set it up initially but what happens after a year or more? I am thinking eventually the plant growth will decline. Maybe tearing up an old tank and starting again is the only solution? Have you ever refertilised? How? Expensive aquarium root tabs are not for me. Common cheap garden fertiliser is my aim like the osmocote.

I just got two small pots of these plants and they were jus little green leafed plants when I got it. But now in just two weeks this plant has become so bushy and pink it has taken over my entire background. Time for trimming

There is this common meme that all fish have ich, always presented without evidence. "It's always there, waiting to attach weak or stressed out fish!" I've seen plenty of stressed out or weakened fish and they didn't develop ich. Believe whatever you want, but I'm not buying it.

I had a bacterial bloom, I put in some fritz live beneficial bacteria, 3 days later I went to sleep and the morning after that my tank is crystal clear

What about oak wood? I tried curing mine. It did sink in a few days. Found the prices by a local lake. Would it be safe if I soak it in hot tap water and 3% hydrogen peroxide solution for a few days? Really want to put said wood in my tank. Seems fun to do.

We called ours Biff. After Back to the Future. He always bullying our Watchman Goby and cleaner shrimp. Tries it with the Clownies but to no avail.

My neon blue dwarf spits at food that's gotten stuck to the aquarium just above the water line all the time. It's one of the cooler things I've seen happen in an aquarium.

I chose to not go with an inline, opting for the smaller Green Killing Machine for my 220 gallon and it's really done great. I leave it on 24/7 and never looked back.

in the beginning of the video he tossed way to much food in, the fish hardly seemed interested. it pretty clear the fish were not doing well and your ammonia was to high because most the food is rotting on the bottom of the tank.. i failed to hear him mention a water change once, which would be the solution.. have no idea why water change is not obvious and the first thing you would try

I feel kinda bad for fish cause literally 99% of there caretakers don’t seem to give them a good life there still alive but that doesn’t mean there thriving

Fish do not and never have stayed the size of their tank. You can stunt their growth with constant bad water quality. USF did a study on this.
