Lancia Fulvia - A Forgotten Rally Legend
In this episode of Occasionally Cars, we present to you, the Lancia Fulvia! It is most famous for winning the International Rally Championship in 1972. This win established Lancia's dominance in motorsport and influenced future car designs such as the infamous Stratos and Delta HF. This particular car has just spent the best part of 4 years undergoing a full restoration and has also been fitted with a 'competition exhaust' from Omicron in Norfolk.
Some further facts about the Fulvia include:
Engine: 1,298 cc V4 engine, 90 horsepower, longitudinally mounted at a 45-degree angle.
Transmission: 5-speed manual.
Design: Lightweight body, front-wheel drive, narrow front grille, elegant Italian styling.
Innovations: First to use disc brakes on all wheels, advanced suspension.
Production: Produced from 1963 to 1976.
Interior: Quality materials, comfortable seating, stylish wood veneer dashboard.
