imaginary numbers pls?
Thank you so much. You just saved me a headache.
Awesome, glad to be of service.
Thank you!
You're welcome, sleepy joe 😉
Studying for my Amateur Extra (ham radio) exam and must calculate the frequency of a resonant circuit. To do so, I must simply calculate (using the 2nd log button) 10 to the -6. Fine. It gives me a decimal answer .000000001. I can work with that. But when calculating 10 to the -12, it gives me 1.00000000 *10 to the -12! In decimal form, this is .000000000001. But even if I enter the decimal as part of the calculation, it still responds with a logarithmic answer. Makes no sense to me why it can’t just give me the long decimal answer.
Past a certain point, you reach the limit of the calculator's visual precision, and it does not have enough decimal places to produce the answer in standard notation.
you sound like clownpeirce
Really? I just looked him up, and I'm not so sure...
i started college in '70 with a ti-20
Just looked that one up. Why can't calculators look like this anymore?
@@TutorTerrific i have published a video at Welcome to the MotherVerse u may like it :)
in 10th grade and my teacher cant stop yappin
LOL, many a teen has uttered these words.
Great teacher. Well done. That said, why high school kids learn math at this level yet know very little (or none at all) about fixed rate mortgages, treasury bonds, stock investing, cooking fundamentals and homeownership maintenance fundamentals is beyond me. <1% use the math 100% use the latter
This needs to change. I will have you know that we homeschool our children, and are teaching them these things at times when they are appropriate ages.
Sir, what’s the difference between a ti84 ti84+ and ti84+ ce?
Good question: think of these as different models of the same design. The TI-84+ was first and had an LCD display. Then, the CE model (in this video) came along with a sleeker design and a backlit color-pixel display. The operating system received some minor updates so that some functions and operations were presented closer to the fonts and prints used in textbooks. In addition, the CE model has a rechargeable battery.
@@TutorTerrific can ți 84+ do anything? Like, basic equations etc.?
@@daniel-xt3tpwell, yes, it can do basically everything that the CE model can do. However, if you are looking to plug in Algebra equations and have it solve them for you, you will need to learn how to calculate intersections using the graphing feature.
Is there anyway that it can show the work how it got the answer
By that, do you mean that you want it to show the algorithms it completes to compute? As far as I know, this is not a function of the calculator.
Thanks man! You did a great job making this as easy as possible! You have no idea how much I appreciate this
You are welcome
Mine is not turning on after unboxing!!!😂 I am in other state and i don't know what to do
Put it in direct sunlight for a few minutes, then attempt again.
@@TutorTerrific sir I have attempted But it only show on screen when I like press ON and CLEAR and it shows *Memory Reset* It doesn't show anything,I bought it back home in US and now I am in Pakistan and I need to use it Also thanks for your swift reply
Thank you! Your tips worked. It took me a bit to take the calculator's screws out but you saved me some money.
Nice, always looking for ways to help people save money.

Dude, what is this comment?
Try to put in y= 1/3x-17 but can’t find Equal!
Why are you trying to enter this whole equation into the calculator? What are you trying to do?
Do you still reply?
Yes, if I can help, I do.
saving me for my ACT tmr 🙏🙏
Awesome, good luck!
How can I type the exclamation mark ?
Greatly explained, very much appreciated...
You are welcome.
You are terrific. You also sound like a Maths teacher.
Thank you, I have taught math curriculum for 6 of my years in education.
My grandma is lucky she can see bc i live S omewhere Like that has 3 houses😢

You're Welcome
Hello, and thanks a lot for sharing this tutorial.
You are welcome
My friend has one of these TI-30XIIS. I have a TI30XA. My x root of y is used with the y entered first. His X root is used with the x entered first. I have used TI calculators for 50 years, and this is my first complaint
Ah, yes. The algebraic operating system (yours) vs. the equation based operating system (his).
@@TutorTerrific thanks!
Thank u my dude! My brother gave me his and pretty confused how to do it. But know i know!! (Its for me Exams :D)
Glad I could help
Calculator in our time!?!? Now super computers solve all problems
Uhh, do you know how old this video is?
@@TutorTerrific , 5 years? Apple introduced Mac before?
@@user-mp1rb3ex2sbruh you might not have a super computer everywhere you go my only have a calculator so buddy you’re wrong. You can still use a calculator certain things require you to use a calculator because you won’t be able to use a super computer especially in specific types of jobs and stuff. Your point is unvalid my guy.
@@user-ex4wm3hu9b , hmmm 🤔… Your opinion reasonable, If engineers in one company do not have calculators like this - does it mean something? 🧐
@@user-mp1rb3ex2s calculators in general not this specific one
Hi, is there any of the MultiView calculators that would show comma or digit separator for large numbers? Thanks!
Nah cuh, dae discontinued thems but they do got mvs. That don't do that
How do you graph the letter y if it is involved with an equation
Good question, this calculator cannot graph cartesian style equations unless y is isolated. You must first solve for y algebraically.
Thanks so much!!! I got one in an ACT prep class and didn't even know how to do fractions, so this was pretty helpful! I even shared with some friends that received one as well, so hope they'll be able to use theirs.
That's the way. Thank you for sharing!
Really helpful! thanks so much

How do you graph a circle?
You would need to graph the top half and bottom half separately, using Y1= and Y2= the equations would be sqrt(r^2 - x^2) and -sqrt(r^2 - x^2), respectively, where r is the radius of your circle.
tnx 😊

@@TutorTerrific Wrong video.
I meant to comment this on your algebra hist. video, but I forgot that I was on this vid.
THANK YOU. I LITERALLY COULD NOT FIND THE TRIG BUTTON FOR THE LIFE OF ME LMAO
Haha, glad I was able to demistify it for you.
Anyone who is getting there GED you don't need to know all of this
Very very helpful though
Thank you.
True, they need to know the basic operations and basic algebraic functions.
Very detailed and useful video.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi, man, Iam a physics youtuber and I make videos ti help students, but Iam not sure if its right to ask my subscribers if they can join me if I create a tutoring payment, what do you think, is it a good option and what do you think is the right pricing without making it seem a bit much for my subscribers
So, you are wanting to have them join your channel membership for a one time fee, and then you help them whenever they need it? If that's true, then you're definitely getting the short end of the stick. Consider this idea: start doing live streams, and have students who want specific help pay with a super chat.
Me right now cause I have to say goodbye for my casio calc
Keep it for posterity.
not sure what "sin" button is on the calculator when I do go into that class.
"Sin" stands for the sine function. It calculates the ratio between the opposite side and the hypotenuse of a right triangle. The input to the function is one of the acute angles in the right triangle. What math class are you about to walk into?
could you show some equations to have a better idea? Thank you
Thank you. I just had a panic attack! Please show how to plug in annuities and compound interest.
For annuities, I need to see problem you're being asked to solve. For compound interest, the formula you use is this: A = P(1 + r/n)^nt, where P is the principal amount that you start with, r is the interest rate (as a decimal), n is the number of compoundings per year, and t is the amount of time that has passed, in years.
@TutorTerrific Thank you for replying. I have an exam in 5 hours, and every time I try to enter the formula in my TI-34 calculator, I am getting an error message.
I understand now thank you.
Good to hear
can you see what a number looks like in binary with this calculator?
That would be a neat feature, but no, sadly.
How do I change a decimal number into a fraction and a fraction into a decimal number on this calculator?
Per fraction to decimal, all you have to do is and put the fraction with the numerator and denominator separated by the division sign, and press enter. It will automatically convert it into a decimal. I do not believe this particular can do the opposite.
How do I get out of scientific notation if I have a whole equation that includes some scientific notation in it? Ex. (4x10^23)+5. Anytime I try to add anything after the 23, I’m still in the exponent area.
guys the computer in the start was HP nou it got samsung HOW?
