Hi could you tell me what kind of felt you use for ironing pad? If I use polyester felt cover with cotton fabric on top,will it be okay?

Great tutorial. So, it is ok to have a tiny hole at the end of the zipper tabs? When I try it, I always think it is a mistake, but I see you have it as well.

Awesome! If I wanted to seam tape the inside when using water resistant materials, could I do those exterior "definition" stitches before turning the tote inside out?

Thank you for your excellent video! I have made my second zipped bag today. The only thing I am having trouble with is the sewing over the side seams where the zip cover is. I think the covers and zipper “pops” up too much, and the zip cover looks squeezed, not a smooth half covering the zipper. If you have another video that provides more info or pictures on this part, i would appreciate a link. Wish i could add a pic of my finished bag! I embroidered designs on both sides, the sewed it. Its quite pretty!

I just finished this bag using some old favorite t-shirts. I also used t-shirts for the lining and finished the edges of the inside like the outside so it is reversible. Turned out super cute!

Lovely room tour. I have my sewing space in my bedroom which has a build in wardrobe which gives me good space. I have 2 tables in there, one for sewing and cutting and one that holds all the sewing notions and big rulers and rotating self-healing mat. My large self-healing mat stays on my cutting and sewing table. I also have a chest of draws on which I have my pressing mat and iron and the fabric and interfacing and such, is in the Draws. Underneath my table with the sewing notions is a plastic bin with scraps and also a bag with toy filling. I wish I had a larger table to cut fabric on, but do like my setup. I LOVE patchwork and making bags and pouches, cushions and those things.

This is such a great Tutorial. I cut the template and will attempt to sew it all tomorrow.

Have watched numerous tutorials on zip tabs. This is by far the best and easiest to follow. Now in the process of making a pouch and will employ this method, which by the way, finishes much more cleanly than others I've watched. Thank you so much for the great tutorial!

If you were to make these in different sizes, what’s would the zipper size ratio to fabric be? For example, would you get a zipper that is half inch smaller than the bag? I hope you understand my question, I’m it sure if it’s clear enough.

So grateful for your video! I needed a storage bag for 2 sets of blocks I bought for my great nephew and this pattern was perfect. i ended up increasing the size to 21 x 19 inches, the handle I moved up to 14 inches long and cut the corner squares at 4 inches. Turned out great. such a simple and easy pattern that you can make at any size! thanks for sharing your talents :)

I‘m a sewing beginner and this was my first time I sew a zipper. It turned out so perfect for my first try, thank you for your easy and well explained tutorial 🥹 I made a little bag for band aids, hair ties and so on out of an old jeans and some soft muslin as my lining.
