They got my 2009 kia borrego. Im pissed because most of the parts are disconnected. I waited 3 months to get it out of the shop and 8000 in rentals cars. It cost more than the car. They are the worst people...

Bro please help, I’ve changed out the ignition cylinder and the ignition switch, I bought them both separately and put them together, the car turns on but when I turn off the car the key won’t come out please helpppp, oh yea and when I plug in my old cylinder, it reads that the keys are in the ignition .

Hey there. Great video. Thanks for posting this. Kia boys destroyed the ignition. I can’t get it into accessory mode. Tbh I don’t know if it’s in a mode @ all and the steering wheel is locked. Should I try to remove the entire innards of the ignition switch? I’m stuck here and don’t want to remove the steering wheel or tap headless bolts. Thanks!

@@ivanvega2821 no . Plus you can’t use it if it doesn’t have a key . But you can always take the vin and go to a local locksmith shop they will cut you a key by vin as long as it’s a junkyard car

do you know someone in charlotte that can come out and fix it? I got mine ripped out but not much damage..I need to figure out how to secure it back into place. the key turns but the engine wont start
I got mine updated and the sticker fell off and they couldnt steal it..
I figured mine out...basically they pulled the ignition piece off to get to the usb piece and broke a small piece of plastic off the ignition body. I am going to order the key cylinder off amazon and see if I can just replace it ... this is the prices the dealership told me w/o labor Key cylinder 154.37 Ignition body $211 Bolts $4.29 each
If anyone wants to know it worked I got it fixed. The piece from Amazon fit and the new window was $250.

Was the alarm active during the key programming process? Does fdrs let you bypass and stop the alarm? Also, why didn’t the first aftermarket key detect? Did you have to use another key?
@@JustSoYouKnowDom alarm doesn’t matter when using FDRS And later on I found out that if it fails to program the key just hit try again and it will go through

So wait I got a key and the switch because my tumblers are worn how do I program it
You need a key Programer or any advanced scan machine should be able to do it
Unless you want to open up the old key and swap the chip over to the new one
Never had much luck with this type of tool. The screw/ drill bit always breaks. Much better luck drilling hole in body at 90 deg to roll pin.

Yes you can as long as the housing intact
You can access the boot via the blade inside the key , there’s a lock next to the button
They had a key fob however didn’t have the blade ( it was missing)
