I LOVE this

I think I wore the grooves out listening to this album. Couldn’t wait to see him live, and it was absolutely the best concert (each time) I’ve ever attended. First time was Memphis with Bonnie Raitt opening. I took two skeptical friends who were Bonnie fans but not “that guy.” They were talkative and lively during Bonnie’s show. But when Lyle Lovett and His Large Band blew out of the stage they were riveted, to say the least. They came away changed. Had “no idea he was so good,” and wow, couldn’t believe they’d “never realized” what I kept trying to tell them. Life is full of surprises.

This song makes me feel so many things. I can't find it live, not sure I've ever heard it live, all the times I've seen the show. I'm not mad.
