It is my first experience with the Panasonic Lumix GH2. I boosted the saturation some in final cut because the clouds were quite greenish in the morning. Nikkor 24mm f2.8 was quite smooth.

What's up with the image flicker in the grass at 0:42?
I didn't notice a flicker but what I noticed is that I vibrated the head of my tripod :)
Hi Leonard, Thank your for your comment. As far as I remember it was shot at 10bit 422 proxy, even though as you know the camera sends 8bit 422 signal.
+Umit Gulsen Cinematography Thank you, Umit!!! You just saved me about $2,300.00 Canadian dollars.Your colour accuracy and dynamic range in the midtones is incredible. I'm going to try SLog AGAIN, though it frustrates me. I just heard that you should overexpose your shots by 2 stops to avoid crushed blacks and then adjust the image in post. What's your secret?
Unless I'm misunderstanding something, recording in 10-bit doesn't help you if the camera only sends 8-bit 422 signal. Same for 4444 prores. If the camera doesn't provide that much information, you're just 'superstoring' empty data slots which you might as well have transcoded to where needed for flexible color bending and changing in color grading. If you only get 8-bits, you only records 8-bits of color depth, even if it records it in 10-bits of depth and the image is no more vibrant or nuanced.
Dear Umit, congratulations for having the best exposed, composed, and graded A7S footage I've seen yet. This is coming from a A7S / Shogun owner who has over 5,000,000 views on CZcams over several channels. PLEASE tell me: was this shot in ProRes 4444 XQ? It has to be - the colour accuracy is amazing. I really need to know the answer to this question. If you say yes, I will purchase the recorder ASAP, as I start filming my second feature film next week. Cheers!

Great footage! Is this the Nikkor F2.8 AIS lens? Also, is your GH2 hacked? Those older nikons look like film. Thank you so much for posting. I'm getting ready to purchase a gh2 and I've been killing myself on researching lenses.
