this is called zelda classics and it is easy to find just look up zelda classics on google you will find tons of fanmade zelda 1 games and it is free

Thank you for playing through my quest. I am really glad you enjoyed it. I have considered going back and either revamping this one, or making a new one, as now I have experience with software development, and I can do the thing I always wanted to do... make custom scripted bosses. I was always angry that I had to use mob spam to increase difficulty and make somewhat challenging boss rooms, and now 10 years later, I have a lot more knowledge and could do so much better.
it would be nice if you can revamp it maybe in the end i would give the remastered one a try too someday
If I recall correctly they arent called "dark link", but instead they are called "death knights".

A lot of people liked to use dins fire on those bat summoner wizrobe rooms. It works really well.
I am glad you realized that the ice hammer can also damage the mirror wizrobes. many people never realize this.

In the "lore" for the quest, the red wand was a fire wand (note no need for a book to get the fire effect) and the blue wand (as well as the octorocs shooting magic) is supposed to be shooting "ice magic".
The fire sword is not the second most powerful sword. It is the third. I think maybe you missed some secrets in your first full playthrough.
i did not know it was the fire sword to be truthfull it looked like a brown sword to me

The ring did get cheaper. Default price was 400, when you bought it, you had the 25% discount and it was 300, and when you looked again with the 50% discount, it was 200. Additionally, the feather is indeed in this quest. I am pretty sure it was in the graveyard in one of the graves. You seemed to beeline for the sword grave, but IIRC there were several other pushable graves.
There was something hidden in the water at the shiny spot next to the graveyard entrance. It was money. Maybe you already picked it up?
when i had drive in, it did not tell me i had got the item/money, i did not even hear the money sound was it bugged?
Another thing that might not be apparent is that there are several raft intersections, so you can actually steer the raft and get to some places before getting the flippers.
I notice when it gave you the single bomb in the sewers, you didnt get the hint and bomb that wall like you did in the first dungeon. You might notice, I never place bombs in the center against a wall unless you need to bomb it. All the other bomb rewards are in the center of the room, or in a corner. I guess I needed something a bit more straightforward. It is not as intuitive to bomb walls with that texture.
to be fair i am not use to zelda 1 when i played my first zelda game it was link to the past and the youtuber that got me into zelda classics games was melee wizard i saw his let's plays and had to try them out but in the end i had enjoyed the game very much thank you for making a fun game
I noticed that you mentioned not going for the bonus dungeon until the end of the game, but it is actually designed to do in steps, basically one or two steps after each dungeon. This allows you to get a few extra heart pieces earlier. The bosses scale in difficulty, so a decent player can kill the first boss right from the start of the game.
when i had first played the game yes i did kill the first boss allmost nude but seeing as its called a bonus dungeon i think of it before the final dungeon i like to be full powered before i tie up lose ends
Yo!! are you for real? I am the maker of this quest, and I cant believe someone actually made a youtube lets play for it! I am going to watch this whole thing!! Edit: The music in the sword basement was loud because I was unable to find that song in the proper MIDI format, so I had to use an MP3 and some tricks instead. This resulted in it being extra loud, with no way to change the volume. I also noticed that the overworld map didnt have any music. It should have been the overworld theme from Breath of Fire on SNES. I wonder what happened there.
you did a great job on the game it was hard at first the first time i played it i had died 33 times and it took over 7 hours to beat it
pretty good video, i will say it'd be better if u cut out more of the parts where you're not talking cuz it feels empty but that can be fixed with some editing. also u should probably redo your lines whenever u mess up or stutter what ur saying so the video seems more professional. not here to bring hate, just thought this criticism could help the overall flow of ur vids in the future 👍
the only way to be able to me talk is to mute the game the game sound can not be lower it will lower my talking too
Zelda was the first game I ever played on the nes. I was about 4 years old. I still remember where all the secrets are somehow. This looks fucking amazing and I really want to play it. I’m very jealous.
anyone can play it just look up zelda classics it has tons of quests and something to play it on for me my first zelda game was a link to the past and like you i had learn alot about the game
