Like how much is to rebuild the transmission? Found one for $1500.00 for my son and I have no idea!
Depends what it needs when it’s torn down. I just tore down a 420 engine to fix stuck shifter issue, charged $850
Great save.. thanks for sharing.
Where did you get the magnet? This is the old type which I need but most are the newer top hat speed sensor. Thanks for Video ....
Found it on ebay
Bit late to the video... but im currently trying to find the part number for the same seal on my 2005 honda Foreman 500 es. Do you know if it's the same part number, or would it be different?
It’s under final shaft diagram OIL SEAL (22X31X7) 91201-HP0-A01
@richvandenbroeke5493 thank you sir. Cheers from Canada 🍻 👍
I looked for 3 dam days looking for it
Lol ya took me a while to find it that’s why I made the video!
How did you get the front plastics off???
how did you remove the exhaust from the turbo? I can barely get a socket on the nut due to the firewall. Did you lift the cab slightly? Just about to start drivers side replacement tomorrow, passenger side went well. thanks for the video
Yes it’s a tight fit. Think I used a deep well socket, a wobble and a couple extensions
Are those forward/reverse micro switches been replaced? If so simple to do? I have a DCS, bought a new switch, but all that popped up were for PCS, so gotta send that back. Can't find a video on these micro switches being replaced for some reason? Sure somebody has DIY before?
Not sure about the switches. On fb Ezgo owners group, they have info on going from the dcs f-n-r lever to the pds f-n-r switch on the dash style
What would be causing my shift linkage not to up shift my bike is currently stuck in reverse. It will shift down but won’t shift up
I’d guess broke shift fork or gear tooth jammed up
I have same issue would down shift but won't shift up and the foot shifter loose going up
@@richvandenbroeke5493hey bud I'm having same exact issue what did you figure out
I got a similar issue, I can shift up and down but it shifts rough. Doesn't glide when I hold down or up in the lower gears as well. Any thoughts?
@@echabot2721 i would try giving it a clutch adjustment make Shure oil you are using is Valvoline with the motorcycle on the front of bottle it JASO approved doesn't make clutch slip
Before u pulled it did u ever have any lights or any even if u hit the 4wd button?
No not with this issue
Thank you
Hey brother, I accidentally messed up my adjustment screw. I did an adjustment a while back. Now I went to adjust it, and I can’t back out the lock nut. Somewhere along the way, I might have turned counter clockwise. I started it up, heard like a slight pop like a spring. My Rancher wont move when I put it in to gear. My set screw is pretty boogered up. I don’t know what to do. I’m begging for your expertise on this. Thank you in advance
Start over with the procedure. Was it driving before you started the adjustment?
@@davalleyguy5020 Yes it was driving before. After giving up and putting where I thought it was(I can’t tell because set screw and nut were spinning together) I fired it up, and heard a little noise. I’m guessing the clutch because it won’t move now. I can’t start the procedure because the set screw and nut are still seized, plus I doubt it could unthread at this point anyway.
@@davalleyguy5020 Sorry, I won’t bug you after this. But basically now that I’ve disengaged the clutch on accident, do you think it’s possible to get it to engage if I turn it in the adjustment bolt to the correct spot at this point? I’m worried what could happen if I turn it counter clockwise too much. My adjustment bolt is seized to the nut that locks it. But I can still rotate it, but the lock nut also rotates with it. Please, I could really use your advice on this.
@@damon323 you first need to break the nut free from the adjustment screw. That's where the double nut technique works. Need to get yourself 2 nuts, thread it on the screw and then with 2 wrenches tighten the 2 nuts together one wrench clockwise the other counterclockwise . What you have now is essentially a bolt you can turn with a wrench, instead of a screwdriver. The 2 nuts wont spin they will act like a welded nut to the adjustment bolt. Hope that helps. If its buggered its already done not much to lose. Good luck
@@davalleyguy5020 That does help, but I actually already have precisely that going for me. I broke the nut loose…it’s just that when I turn the nut, the screw turns with it.
Fala irmão,vc me passa o código dessa peça ó meu quebrou e eu não encontro
Here it is if you ain’t found it yet BOLT, CLUTCH ADJUSTING 22841-HR0-F00
Can’t get mine into neutral neither before doing this, hope it still works out, it’s stuck in 3rd and won’t let me change gears, 3 is just flashing, so I got this part and going to try change it out
I have a 2014 model I’m doing this with now, I could only get the case to come about 1/2 inch off, now I see I have to take the smaller circle part with the 3 bolts off now too like u did, and then they are out that long bolt in the middle? And also does the rear crank case use a gasket or just Honda bond? Thanks
Question, what if it’s not going into first gear , says first on dash but is in second gear
Foot shift? Are you able to put it in reverse?
Thank you sir
Girl here 🙋🏻♀ how hard is it to take the case off? And do you have to take the swing arm off?
It’s not real bad. Drain the oil, remove swingarm and airbox, pull cover off, put new switch in with the long part of the pin toward ‘N’(its on the inside of the case), clean surfaces and reseal
Thanks. I've got an 06 or 07, it's been in the shed more than anything I have ever owned. Poor design. Poor power output. Constantly having performance issues. It's the Joe Biden of quads !🤣
Lol it ain’t THAT bad!lmao
Thank you I been trying to figure this out for 2 hours now
Honda clutches remind me of Rekluse clutches you can put on a manual clutch bike, makes them to where you could let off the clutch in a gear while sitting still
Trying to understand how this works without a clutch to me is so confusing to me, it’s already confusing to me how it works on my motorcycle.
Good day mate hopefully your still around to reply. Is there oil or anything i need to watch out for that might fall out when removing that case to change this part?
Drain the oil or raise the rear end way up. Put it in neutral. The stator comes off with the rear cover and is magnetized so it’ll be kinda hard to remove. Install switch with long end of the roll pin towards the mark, it has to line up when cover goes back on.
Did you figure out what was blowing the fuse?
Replaced the fuse and rode it around so not sure why it blew
Thanks, man!
Thanks man
Does that cause power lose
I don’t think it did because I kept driving it until I was ready to fix it
My 2022 520 foreman is stuck in 4x4. mechanics can't figure what is the problem
Take off the actuator and see if it turns when 4wd button is pushed, you’ll know which way to start troubleshooting
thank you
what wire was the wire for neutral???
Light green/red
@@richvandenbroeke5493 the switch has two pin how do i know whuch pin is where
@@DarionInniss-ht5ewon the gear position switch, to clock it in the correct position, longer side of the pin pointed to N on the inside of the cover
I just did this on my 2015 f150, The new manifold I ordered is a lil different, it has an extra hole for a stud on the turbo end of the manifold.
My god dam god, what is it whith these people that don't edit anything. Even if you are the stupidest person in the world, nobody can hear low volume on the audio!!!! Is this a you tube problem or what?
I have exact same issue, took it off and it works put it back and it wont. Anyone get a fix?
Sounds like you needs to take the front diff apart and clean it up.
Thanks for this information,am doing mine tomorrow June 19th 2022
nice video , can you tell me the size of the oil seal? It is very important for me , I need for something else . Thank you
will this work on a 2003 foreman 450
It’s different but maybe similar process
Can this cause a boost leak? I noticed a drop in my boost numbers and then the cricket/squealing sound started up.
If you hear the cricket it’s leaking
Thanks man.
Thank you! I just bought one and couldn’t locate the fuses. Seen that box but I thought it was a connector also.
So if that fuse keeps blowing it's the rectifier?
I don’t remember it’s been awhile now but I think you can test rectifiers
There was 2 minutes of my life wasted.
Because your not mechanically inclined?
Hi there you say and actuator?
That’s what the small piece is
Thanks for sharing - tough to find info on this fix!
I’m pulling my hair out; which I can’t afford, my Honda foreman 500 is doing the exact same thing. I put it together after having it apart cleaned the actuator and it went back flashing the 4x4 and differential lock. I took the actuator back off laid it to the side ran the 4x4 button and differential lock and it moves just fine no flashing 4x4 or differential lock light, what is going on any thoughts, going bald here on the high plains?
I’m guessing it needs cleaned inside the diff so it can move easily
Retarded video
What is the danger of not adjusting valves and letting then ping a little? Just curious.
It can wear out the valve stem tips and get it out of time
My Forman’s cylinder head was destroyed because the former owner neglected to adjust the valves on the engine and it got so bad that the tips of the valves were pinned over and broken off I couldn’t even get the clips out to change the valves without a chisel also once I got the intake valve spring off the valve guide was snapped in half and I had to buy a used cylinder your head to make my four wheeler run again
BULLBRONCO 0 seconds ago I just finished mine. It took me all day. You made it look so easy. After doing it once it probably would take me half the time. I was worried about getting the old oil seal out. It too some time and using a small hooked pick I finally worked it out. I could not find a socket to drive the new oil seal in. Even my biggest socket would not fit all the way over the shaft. So I took a three inch piece of 1-inch pvc pipe and cut it length ways so it would open up just enough to go over the shaft and drove the oil seal in place. I was not sure when to stop driving but drove it about as far as the old seal was seated. Some of the other videos disconnect the left wheel and drive shaft. I just removed both wheels and the bolts to front diff gave it a tug and the shaft fell right off. Thanks again for the help.
Lol cool. I usually just push mine in by hand
You saved my ass couldnt find part number under honda thanks buddy
