Thanks for the video. Super helpful. at 5:36 you clip the nipple into something, but what? I have an S54 swap that was done like 8 years ago by someone else I'm cleaning up. That nipple isn't connected to anything and I don't know what it's supposed to connect to. I don't know what that part even is. I'm learning man! If you see this I'd really appreciate help!

Doing this on my 2022 TRD OffRoad but for a different reason. I have a Swift 4Wheel camper on the back on my rig .. so I have an additional 1100 lbs that's always there. The stock gearing is 3.91 and most feel it makes the Tacoma undergeared. I'm keeping the tires pretty much the original size, but did go with 265/75 16" KO2's

I got mine for synergy for $35. Work just as good and you keep $120.

Comments definitely gave me more confidence that my car will still be ok to daily, rather than being obnoxiously stiff and have too much NVH. Having the Powerflex rear mounting bracket, and front bracket bushings installed tomorrow (purple ones). Let's see how the car behaves after.

285/70r17 it's not a full 33 inch tire

A couple of observations after doing this: to remove the lower bracket, I found it easier to undo a 10mm bolt in the back of the bracket than the 2-3 13 mm holding the oil lines to the PS pump. Also, fully tighten the top right bolt before installing the top plastic oil hose holder, as it is no longer accessible with the plastic thing bolted.

if you're worried about the rings seizing on the hub, just put anti-seize on the inner and outer part of the ring before installing.

Hey Sean! Great video. Thanks for making it for all of us that want this mod. I wanted to add that I lifted my 22 Taco 6", had the codes cleared, and the safety light never came back on. I just ordered the TRD Pro Grill and TSS garnish and hope to just clear the codes if it happens again. Thanks again for the video!

I did mine Sunday. Love the new look. I hate chrome so I have been slowly getting rid of the chrome.

I have never cringed so much lol Its ridiculous the amount of custom fabricating needed to run 35s . Luckily , the front fenders and bed sides are pretty easy to replace if you ever wanted to go back " Factory " .
