Only after Turkmens (Oghuz Turks) conquered Anatolia, settled en masse among Anatolians, us, by intermixing with Turkmens, we Anatolians gained an identity. We Anatolians and Turkmens got intermixed, their Central Asian genes were diluted by intermixing with us, however, spreading their Central Asian genes to all of us, they made us Turks, a part of a bigger family. Adopting Turkic identity, we Anatolian Turks became a real nation, and a part of something bigger. Today we are culturally, linguistically, historically, socially, traditionally Turks. F. DNA, No Anatolian Turk can tell you about Anatolian ancestors, we do not know, we have no idea about. But we can tell you stories of our Turkmen ancestors, how they came to Anatolia, settled and lived. Their identity is now our identity, we know nothing but Turkness. We can relate ourselves to Turkmen tribes, our known ancestors are all Turkmens. No Sir, genetics mean not much to us. We are sons of Turks. Proudly. What makes an ethnicity or nation, is not their genes, it is identity. Our identiy is related to Turkmens. Language, history, culture, heritage, we all have all of them. We have Turkmen language, Turkmen history, Turkmen culture, Turkmen heritage, So, we are Turks. This is our identity. we do not need DNA to be Turks. We do not need DNA for our identity. DNA cannot change our identity. Thank you.
