Hi there Amy- Your Blum drawer hardware will provide several easy tool-free adjustments using both the drawer locking device (orange clip), and drawer runners; up/down, side-to-side and tilt. To access the lateral adjustments, you would need to remove your drawer box by squeezing the gray tabs on your locking device to disengage. Once the box has been removed, you can now access the gray wheel at the end of the drawer glide to make your side-to-side adjustment. Hi there Maricela- Thanks for your question! Aside from the aesthetic benefits that you get with our Shaker style, this style also incorporates a mortise & tenon joinery which is one of the oldest, tried and true woodworking joints available in the business - it’s strong! Although the mortise and tenon joint is strong on its own, we do use wood glue to make all our joints permanent.

Hi Roy- If the drawer slams shut in the last 4 inches or so, the soft close dampers have failed. If this is a product we sold, we will be happy to ship a new set of glides at no charge. If this is just a general inquiry, new dampers can be installed; a Google search should show where those parts can be purchased. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello Joan, Thanks for your comment! The floating plastic boot is designed to help self-align the drawer each time it's closed. If the alignment continually needs to be adjusted, you can lock the alignment in place by driving a screw through the floating portion of the boot. Just be sure the drawer is aligned first. @@egaytan07 Hi Egaytan07. It's hard to say because this was a one time purchase for me so what can I compare it to? In our case, we ordered beautiful green cabinets. I'm not sure I would recommend a painted cabinet because when there are small scratches or scrapes, you see the wood, a different color than the paint. Maybe it would be better to have solid wood, so when there is a scratch you see the same wood. Secondly, one door is becoming warped, bending out. And third, there are little plastic bumpers on the drawers, and they are simply glued on, and some of ours have fallen off. So I'm sorry, I can't really say if they are great or not! I would probably recommend asking the dealer what the next upgrade would be, and ask the dealer to compare the differences. Looking back, if the next upgrade had a price difference of less than... 20%, I probably would have upgraded.

@@cabinetsdotcom By "driving a screw," do you mean just shoving it through the plastic wherever? Or is there a hole or specific place the screw is supposed to go? This is the worst "feature" ever, and I would definitely like to tighten it down so that they don't move.

So, we recommend doing exactly what you did and finding a local installer with general cabinet experience. Many of our customers get help from local installers and it turns out great even if they do not have experience with our cabinets. Also, we would love if you sent us finished pictures of your space!
