Surge Narrows - Peck Island - June 2023
After two days of kayak surfing at Surge Narrows we were getting dinner ready and a wonderful sunset presented itself to us on Peck Island, looking up toward the Octopus Islands.

Hardinge Island is located in the Nodales Channel, at the edge of the Thurston Bay Marine Park. The third stop on our circumnavigation around Maurelle Island and Sonora Island. John's Point, East Thurlow Island

John's Point is at the eastern most point on East Thurlow Island. We arrived in the early afternoon after a 28km paddle where we passed through the Yuculta Rapids, Gillard Passage, and Dent Rapids. A steady headwind throughout most of trip made the paddle long and slow. The dock at the campsite is maintained so that Local Tour Operators have day use campsite on the shore.
