I miss her every single day of my life

I just watched a TT video on my 33 year old son’s page with this song and pictures of us. My son has had a multitude of health issues since he was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 13. I’ve done the best I know how to do as a single mother and just had him placed in a long term skilled nursing facility because I’m pushing 60 and I can no longer care for him or keep him safe by myself. He was placed, then I had a positive COVID19 test and I haven’t been able to go see him since. This Thursday is the 10 day mark so I will get to see him. Due to multiple brain surgeries, he’s developmentally as well as physically disabled. We have never been apart for this long and I have been an absolute mess. I promised him I would take care of him and he wouldn’t be left in a nursing home 😢 so I feel like I’ve completely failed him. Today my parents came by and saw the mess I have been. For 33 years, my entire life has been about him. He is my only child and to be honest, I don’t know who I am anymore. I know most people won’t understand why I’m so lost when he’s 33 years old but we’ve always been a team. My job, since he was 13, has been to be his biggest fan, his caregiver, his mom who would never give up on him. He’s tried to unalive himself 4 times due to depression and poor impulse control from damage to his brain over the year. I praise God he wasn’t successful. Having said all of that, I felt the need to see just who sang this beautiful song…even though it brought me to my knees. I can’t wait to give him a big hug. I’m going to really try to allow myself to cry , pout, mourn until Thursday. Then, I’m determined that I have to figure out who I am again. I need a purpose. I have to try to realize that I did everything I could…until I couldn’t. He seems to be doing okay. He says he feels safe, he’s getting his meds, getting pt and ot and he’s eating. He’s enjoying the socialization. Sooooo…I need to hold onto that and work on me. It’s a “me” problem. Thank you for this beautiful song

My mom passed away 2005 and I did not say goodbye and still break my heart today as I listen to this song I am a mother of two children and I can say I can tell them I love them and I can tell my grandson I love him. Lovely seeing all these mums and daughters loving eachother. I know my mum loves me but she never told me until i told her one day. But bc she has issues with her own mum, they carried into our relationship. Now the way she feels about her mother, i feel about her. She displaced me with a daughter in law. Once my brothers gf came into our lives years ago, she took my place. She stole it. And she did it purposefully. She was mean to me, tried to put my own family members against me, but for all her wrongdoing, she can never do wrong in my mums eyes and my mum will always defend her in every way.They spend all their time together, if theyre not together, they are texting constantly which is a way of her keeping that control. Ive had it all out with my mother before but she refuses to see it and told me most daughters move away. As an adult now in my 30s i realised my mother has always been emotionally unavailable. If i have a daughter, i will learn from the hurt my mother caused me and not reject my daughter the way i was rejected

I heard this song on my TikTok and some of the words really hit home for me so I done a pic video of me and my my from baby to recently for yesterday to say thank you for being a blessing in my life and brilliant mum as I was her little shadow wen I was younger as her and my real dad divorced wen I was about 4 and he did nothing to help my mum left her with his debts never gave her no money nothing and she worked her ass of to provide me and my older brother & sister & made sure we didn’t go without and we all put her through crap wen we wer teens and bit older and then I went down a road of addiction which I didn’t realise how much pain and worry I put her through until I came into recovery but me and my mum are so close now and I can’t thank her enough for what she has done for me never turned her back on me so this song is beautiful and she loved it so thankful I have a mother like her ❤
