Zizi: Isiduko, Umnombo & Umbongo
AmaZizi are a nation descendant from the kingdom of AmaHlubi, through King Dlamini the first, and are also known as AmaDlamini. King Dlamini was the son of Ndlovu ka Mntungwa, and he begot King Mthimkhulu the first in the senior house and iNkosi uSibakhulu in the right hand house.
Oral History has it that King Mthimkhulu went ahead and established his own chiefdom while his father was still alive. Back in those days there were no fixed borders and land was largely vacant. Nkosi Sibalukhulu also went ahead and consolidated his own Chiefdom. He begot Khuze in the senior house, Lungqi in the right hand house, and Ngubokazi in the junior house.
AmaZizi had stayed in Embo until the reign of Nkosi Khuze, who ruled in Thukela with his descendants until AmaZizi moved again under Nkosi Mkhuli, eventually settling in KwaZangashe with Nkosi Pokwana in the 1800s. Nkosi Khuze begot twins Zizi and Tolo. He also begot Miya and Thole of AmaNdlangisa.
The successor of Khuze was to be one of the twins, Tolo and Zizi. When they came of age and the question of appointing an heir had arisen, the matter was settled in a manner which Tolo was not satisfied. So he took his followers and left his father's nation. Zizi's territory started at the Upper Klip River going towards the sources of the Thukela River and then along the foot of uKhahlamba mountains to the so called Bushman’s River.

There is a Basotho tradition which maintains that the first man was Tlake, also known as Mopeli. And his history is preserved in some diboko and even songs from initiation school where he’s quoted saying, “Ke Mopeli, Moholo oa Raseapara lome. Ha ke ea ikapesa ke apesitsoe.” Translated, “I am Mopeli, the ancestor of him who dresses the wound. I did not dress myself, I have been dressed.” Among T...

Kgosi Sechele was the king of Bakwena in the nation state of Botswana. He is famous for uniting Tswana people and defeating the Boers in the war of 1852. One of the most interesting facts in this war is that the king's weapons included a cannon which he acquired from the missionaries. Under Kgosi Sechele's leadership, his region became a refuge to tribes fleeing persecution, and the number of p...
Tonga King and the Buys Clan: Albasini/De Buys

Italian trader Joao Albasini and French Huguenot Coenraad De Buys completely blurred racial boundaries when they became the only white men to rule black tribes as their recognized Chiefs. In a continent dominated by colonial powers, Albasini and The Base defied the prevailing norms of their time and one of them was even elected king of Vatsonga, a prominent South African tribe. As white men lea...

This a lie told by whites to make amaXhosa impula zikaluJaca and what is paining we have accepted this lie. Black people decolonized your history. Who was the real Nonqgawuse?
He was Makado, He descended from Dzimbahwe, Thovhela ( Tovera) was a Shona spirit that led them. Even Thohoyandou ( Sororenzou) was also Shona
Ah Kumkani

@UmlandoAfrikanHistory Where's the magical iNamrhali today?
Written records tell of her having a single eye in the middle of her forehead . She was also reputed to have a set of double breasts !
She was a fraud
Thanks for the video. Which history books one can read that explains the true origin of AbaThembu? From the little research I can get thus far I am not sure if AbaThembu come from the Embo Empire or they are originally from here in South Africa as they originally speak Xamu of which that is the indigenous languages from here in Mzansi. Most university books I came across are false as they tell the history from the British which is not correct. I am still gathering information, one of the places that has information about AbaThembu is Nothern Cape. Its one of the places I have to visit as I have some older family members there.

Why use some of the pics with Zulu warriors and huts when you are speaking about the people of the north?
Thank you for the content!! Truly appreciated, i have learnt a great deal..
I disagree with your analysis. That was a biological weapon that was used when Britain decided to use a civilian Governer after they had been humiliated by crushing defeats to the Xhosa. This was the reason the Xhosa’s lost the 100year war with the colonisers.
There's too much fiction in your narration, quoting Bible
Information here is incorrect. To save me the long explanation, go listen to Dr Jongi Klaas.

Brave you point out historical characters, many would not feel comfortable about because most people are only willing to accept 2-dimensional historical narratives. Didn’t know about Albasini who from my PoV rather instrumentalised the Vatsonga though respectfully so while de Buys truly created a new tribe 😮
Thanks for informative knowledge, thanks im learning a lot
Great storytelling 🙌🏽The use of so photograph - popular with so many posts & videos- is confusing though. Definitely a beautiful (Tlokwa?) woman from around 1900 but it is not verified to be the legendary queen Mmanthatisi who passed when the earliest photos of South Africa were around 1843. Anyway - new subscriber here
I know our history is distorted but the truth is that British army resorted to biological weapons to poison cattle and crops so that Xhosa people could be weak and not fight back the colonialists
Nice history but the problem is you explaining it in English instead of Xhosa cause we are Xhosas not English
The last tribe to be conquered by the imperialists. Defeated the British, defeated the Boers, and defeated Jao Albasini the Portuguese. The Lion of the North.
Makhado was a king

As a Dlomo and Madiba i am very thankful for you since now i have learnt more of my history ❤
The History of Langalibalele does not start in the 18th century
This history was always hidden - but we know. The settlers knew very well not to mess with our grandfathers. They resisted in fact 100 years wars of resistance.
