Bill Boettcher - The history of theatre buildings in Kenosha
This is a presentation of Bill's about all of the research he did for his book about theatre buildings in Kenosha. I saw the manuscript on his computer and it was quite detailed. However, he took ill and died before he was able to publish it and I don't know whatever happened to any electronic copies of it. It's a shame.
I had to edit this more than I would have liked to because there was a know-it-all type guy in the audience that kept interrupting, trying to correct Bill's research. Bill was thorough. Bill's research was correct.

    There is almost no way, unless you hired John Henry himself that you could cut 8 acres of grain by hand! I am not sure a fully trained athlete could cut 8 acres a day. Thats 348,000 square foot. And I doubt you could cut 40 acres a day with a reaper. I would like to see some proof of this.

    Advantages of grow bags: 1) Made of environment friendly non woven fabric, allow roots breathable and healthier. 2) Booster better roots aeration and access to oxygen, resulting in a vigorous plant with more flowers and fruits. 3) No-strap water design prevent over watering of plants. 4) Keep roots warmer in winter and cooler in the summer 5) Sturdy handle straps easier transportation. 6) Decrease risk of transplant shock.😊

    Sadly, Case IH was always and is still copied by there competitor all over the world. The minute after the axial-flow patent expired, John Deere came out with there famously known STS (SummerTime Seeder) combine. John Deere showed everyone that there customers would buy any piece of shit as long as it's painted green with yellow wheels. To all those green guy's out there, you're getting fuck real deep by a yellow deere.

    • @chadjustice8560
      @chadjustice8560 Před rokem

      Clearly you don't have a clue about anything so let me fill you in. The first rotor combine patients ever were for Deere in the late 30s early 40s so we'll ahead of every else. Second IH went of business in 1985 and cass wanted to do away with the IH but we're afraid people wouldn't buy just a case. Lastly Deere guys getting fucked deep? Because we support a company that didn't take any equipment from any farmers during the great depression unlikely a company other certain companies did, how everyone is years behind Deere on almost every thing and can't keep up, those companies copied almost every major change in design from Deere? Do you use one example. So why did everyone copy the 8000 series? How about the command arm that case said was stupid but went to it right after? The list goes on.

    great job. lots of hard work there! I understand your trying to utilize grow bags in real world conditions. not everyone in certain countries have access to water and have to rely on rain for there crops! and have poor soil condition, ssome people don't understand your work. if he wanted a massive harvest he could have easily watered the bags daily, but he is trying to figure out what does best in his environment! great job, people like you lead the way!

      These Bags evaporate a lot of water. A real world solution to drought conditions would have been: Water catchment and irrigation. Or putting them in trenches or sunken beds with with the woodchips around them would have helped a lot too. If Your real world condition is, You only have a roof top: Build a box as a sunken bed. Or plant something completely different, that copes with drought. What so ever harvesting 600 micro potatoes from 300 expensive bags to me is no answer. This video to me clearly shows: If You don't know what You're doing, start small and accept a failure as what it is: Something to learn from.

      It seems to me that the point of it is to not aid them more than mother nature does herself and see how they do independently regardless of different soils and which varieties can withstand the elements. Everyone already knows what potatoes do when in the ground and that is why we have commercial potatoes. Interesting experiment for our survival in the upcoming global warming with lack of water.
