A matte ppf is the best way to get the matte look for any paint job. Lots of people like and want a matte paint, and many manufacturers now offer several options. The problem is that the upkeep is very expensive. To protect it, you really need to apply a matte ppf. So, if you're doing that anyways, skip the also typical extra cost of the matte paint, and just get a regular color. Put the matte ppf on that, and that essentially gives you a matte paint job.

They look better without the film. If you actually like the car the sun will do this for you while driving it. This can clearly hurt the effectiveness of your headlights at night.
