90 percent of today’s newspapers are made from soy ink. Which is a non hazardous. So it is safe to use. Compared to many years ago when ink was made differently. As well as cheaper.Chicago tribune actually has an article which can be googled as well. Also other reputable sources are out there as well.
Cardboard works really good...hardly any weeds

Is it just me, or does that look not like regular newspaper, but the glossy ads? Those won't work the same.
The ink from that paper is inorganic and will eventually poison that tree.
It must take an enormous amount of effort to make such a gorgeous garden!
