I'm currently a student at AIU, and I had Dr. Lounsbury for one of my criminal justice classes. He is a great instructor! I know some may think that this is a bunch of mess, but I'm a real person that attends this school and I love the school my mother is a graduate of AIU she has a MBA in early childhood education. I was not going to post because some people love to say negative things, but I guess that is the world we live in. When something is doing something positive for themselves then others try to tear it down. However; when I say my old professor I had to post. He is a GREAT instructor and he cares for his students AIU IS a great school. PERIOD

No university, whether public or private, can guarantee students employment upon graduation. There are too many variables...the economy, the local job market, the student's own drive and ambition...for any university to claim they can guarantee a student employment. What AIU does for students is gives them tools to help them...career services advisors, resume writing advice and reviews, workshops, and industry-current knowledge in their field of study.

@aiuniversity I'm a current student at AIU and I absolutely love it! No other University has been as convenient as AIU when it comes to full time working adults. Thank you for helping me fulfill my dreams!

@HybridHomes There is a ceremony coming up on September 17th at Chicago's Navy Pier Grand Ballroom. On October 21st, there will be a ceremony in Atlanta at the Civic Center.

@aiuniversity I sure wish I could. Time is in limited supply, unfortunately. My new job has thankfully worked with my school schedule up to this point. After graduation, however, focus shifts from academics to survival. People at my company have pulled 70 hr weeks regularly once things get going. Looks like there are no breaks when life finally kicks you into overdrive. But alas, an education is never complete. I believe later on I will be in a much better position to enjoy such privileges.

@anzwertree Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, and congrats on your new position as well. Which campus are you attending, and are you planning to walk through a graduation ceremony?

I graduate next month with my associate's degree. I'm stopping there because I picked up a good job in quality assurance. This should allow me to pay off my student loans several years early, saving me thousands of dollars in interest. In a couple of years, if all goes well, perhaps I return. Only next time, I plan to pay for it on my own. No more debts for me, or at least as few debts as humanly possible.
