White Browed Babblers Bathing
zhlédnutí 116Před 6 měsíci
A family of White Browed Babblers bathing. These Birds are a favourite with anybody that has the privilege of having them living around the place. They build enclosed nests with a single entrance hole and will have many nests within their territory, rotating their use of them. We have counted 9 birds leaving one nest at sunrise, and you have to love that "being squeezed" sound they make. #babbl...

I lived in a place infested with browns. Never had a problem with them. A very alert and beautiful snake.
They usually hear or feel you coming, can be a bit aggressive if startelled though. Thanks for watching 😀👍
💓 😊
I looked up yesterday and it was a raven that almost sounded like a goose! (Millcreek, UT)
I also make creaking noises when taking a bath. I'm not a weirdo
Ha ha! 😀👍
How deep is the tank that they are diving into?
Mannum, South Australia, on the Murray River. Very happy you like the channel, makes all the work worthwhile. Cheers and thanks for watching 😃👍
It's half a pickle drum, it's rounded so its about 12 inches or 300mm in the middle. 😃👍
Hi Ron. What part of Australia are you filming the birds? I'm enjoying this channel very much.

Ah I see you are in Mannum. Equally dry country. Cheers from the Adelaide Hills.
@RudyRotor yes Mannum, dry and dry. Cheers, thanks for watching 👍
Amazing! Love it! Thanks for sharing😍🖤🖤
Cheers! Thanks for watching 😃👍
An incredibly intelligent bird possibly mimicking other birds. It can get a bit noisy at times. The cockatoos and magpies have loud cries as well.
That is one big ass snake 🐍
Is it a king Brown or what.
Given its size, it has been said by a few snake people that it is, although in our location they are usually a bit darker. Thanks for watching 👍
Everyone in Australia likes a drink.
Dam straight 😄👍

A big fat healthy brown snake.😊
He sur as a looot to say
it disserves chin scritches
I live in a South Australian grain growing district so these are common but not often seen apart from on roads. I also have a hobby of breeding unique colour African parrots, so they often come to catch mice around the aviaries. I always have water on the ground for whatever wants it including these. One time when adjusting a dripping tap into the dish I stood still and a brown cane over my left foot for water. I stood still, watched and filmed it. She was about 1.25 metres big and fat. when she had enough she just moved off my foot turned and looked at me then slowly went into the wheat field.
Wow, what an encounter, most people would run for the hills. I found a red belly black in my shed the other day, all 4 feet of it, had to gently encourage it out the door, lucky their a little more passive than a brown. Thanks for watching 😀👍
Cheers from Chicago! Great stuff.
@@kgilliagorilla2761 beautiful city, thanks for watching 👍

Cheers Ken, I think you're right, I've had that comment from a few other watchers as well. Thanks for your input and for watching 😀👍
He sees his reflection in the bird bath , he is talking to himself.
Could well be barking at his own reflection, maybe its a territorial thing telling off his own reflection. Thanks for watching 😀👍
These birds are so cute! I love their slightly curved beaks, and their babbling calls are so adorable! 🥰 Thanks for sharing, Ron! 🤗❤🐦 Greetings from a viewer from the USA! 🇺🇸
Yeah they are a great little group of birds, always like seeing them about. Thanks for watching from us here in Aus. 😃👍
i like how he turns hes head...
Is he talking to his reflection? These is also a distant similar response, so maybe it's a conversation.
I think you're right about the conversation. Another Raven is sitting in the tree above the water trough mumbling away. Thanks for watching 🙂👍
It's not enough that they are beautiful and get to fly with fantastic wings, they also get to make way cool sounds too! I'm so jealous!
Yeah, you're so right. They are always surprising me with their behaviours, and the more I get to know them, the greater the respect I have. Thanks for watching 😃👍
VERY BEAUTIFUL
Amazing, never saw Bronzewing Pigeons. Thank you so much.

Super interesting. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
You're welcome. Thanks for watching 😀👍
Currawong.
Currawongs have yellow\orange eyes, and some white markings at the base of the tail and end of the tail, as well as some white on the flight feathers. They also have a very mournful call... thanks for watching 👍
Australian corvids are just regular issue corvids with googly eyes stuck to them, change my mind.
At first, I muted the sound, then put it on and jumped out of my skin! The first thing hearing was its throat hackles. Great video of this beautiful Raven. 😀
It's a weird noise that's for sure. Thanks for watching 👍
Apart from the odd call to other ravens, is there a reason for his chattering, or does he just like his own voice? He’s a beauty! ❤
Yes, we have to wonder... there is another Raven in the tree above that it could be talking to it, you can hear it in the background... they make the same noise when sitting on the power pole and in the trees, I've even heard them doing it in flight. Another watcher said it's called "vocal fry" and they do it to be annoying? but i'm not that sure it's the reason, me thinks it's more about being contented. Ravens are complex creatures. Cheers Deb 👍
@@ronhaines7833 thanks for your interesting reply. I’ve noticed Magpies here in the UK are often chattering away all to themselves, it’s quite comical. It’s nice to know that, with all the time spent food gathering, that they have can have some relaxing me-time!
Anyone else find that Aussie corvids look like meth heads? The white eyes, man...
I don't like this one.
