Good video and I was impressed how neat and tidy the hidden business side of the safe looked. A lot of makers have all sorts of gunk and loose welding bits inside the hidden guts of the safe. Which model Liberty is that? It looks well made.

I like the my current electric lock but am on the fence about maybe choosing the mechanical lock. What are your respected thoughts on mechanical locks perhaps longevity/ durability or any feedback is appreciated

I don't own a Liberty and I'm not positive, but I'm guessing that without a certified Liberty tech, the warranty was voided

Would it not be cheaper to just remove Liberty's back door/manager code and insert your own ??

Not sure why no one pointed this out... You don't need to hit that safety button on the inside edge of the door, there is a lever just below the lock body that you can see moving in the video. Still needs two hands, but not a huge reach.

Whats the weight unloaded with empty mag in it? Whats the length of pull? How many lbs is the trigger set for? Awsome looking pistol. But for now it cost way too much when I have others.

It's not plastic. It's some type of teflon I believe. It's used as a recoil buffer to keep the slide for impacting the frame. It also helps soften the felt recoil and extends the life of the pistol from wear.

Thanks for the very helpful video. I'm really torn on this gun. I love the grip, but don't like that (according to the gun salesman) the first shot is always double-action. (Unless you have time to pull the hammer back before aiming each time.) He's stressing that most other composites (Glock, XDM, Smith M&P) have trigger or grip safeties, so all shots are single action. So you have to be prepared for both double and single action in the same firing sequence. Do you find that to be an issue?

I'd love to help you with that, but past experience says don't break down an HK pistol beyond field strip. I leave that to the professional gunsmith.

Kowa45 The recoil is crazy-soft, and as accurate as you need it to be. the comfort level of the grip cannot be matched by far the best 9mm you can buy imo of course

Thanks for this video. Quick story: I went to the store today and looked at a brand new P30. I was ready to buy it and asked the salesman how to field-strip the gun. He tried to "completely" remove the slide release pin from the frame. He then called two other "HK experts" who pushed a rod through the right side to try to push the pin out. That didn't work, so they brought out a hammer and hit the heck out of it until it finally came out. I didn't buy it. I'll order a new one in the box!

could you maybe do another video and show how you bring the slide stop to a locked position, as well as keeping the gun in the camera shot during the whole take? thanks - love your video.

I picked mine up for about $800. The guys at the local gun range assumed I had paid $1100, so there is clearly a wide range out there.

No. I had hoped to get this to them early enough that morning, but I was running late for a meeting that lasted most of the morning. I probably had this footage before any local news stations had it - but I missed the main news cycle on this story because of my meeting.

OMG I was on 35 during this mess and I could feel the shocks as well, also was stuck on the freeway and was sick from the fumes. This was a scary day..
