EASIEST Zero Clearance Router Fence
Here I build a the easiest Zero Clearance Router Fence. This DIY router fence is especially good to prevent chip out. Watch how an auxiliary fence closes the gap around the router bit, so short pieces won't dip into the open space. This was used on a benchtop router table, but can be used on any router table.

    Wish I'd seen this 11 years ago. I've stagnated this whole time with an audio-kinetic sculpture that I want made electric. I have piano pins and space for nine strings & two guitar pickups a friend gave me. Instead of a steel ball, I'll have either a hammer or strumming device

    Wow this is one the best projects I've seen like this! A lot of times hanging rectangular planters are made with janky flimsy supplies, this looks great and seems really sturdy too! A couple quick questions for you: How much was all of this? I looked for a pricing but couldn't find it. Also...could this be sealed and used for indoor use without the drainage holes? Thanks!

    I want to do something similar to my front door. It's a metal fire=type door 1 3/4" thick. Question I have is with adding another 3/4" of an inch thickness with the outside trim how do you get the door knob and lock to fit as doorknobs and locks only fit a 1 3/4" thick door?

    • @PinballMan
      @PinballMan Před 6 lety

      There are door knobs out there that can fit 2 1/4" thick or even some that fit 2 3/4" thick doors. It will probably be easier to buy them online rather than a local store.

  • @pauljs75

    And I was hoping you'd gut an old laptop for scorekeeping and sound in Linux and some live bumpers and targets with LED blinky-lights for a lot of crazy action. *shrug* But at least this way it's always playable if the power ever goes out. And since it seems the goal is to stay unpowered, it perhaps you could add some wind-up springs that could power noise-makers when hit. Stuff like music box mechanisms or wind-up alarm clocks made to sound for one rotation of some cam that shuts off the noise and re-cogs whatever target to be hit again. Anyhow the only other suggestion I could think of for this design is an angled ramp at the bottom that returns balls to the plunger through a side slot. Pulling on a spring loaded gate would let the ball fall through the slot to the plunger. That way you could put a top on the playfield as there's less need for manually grabbing the ball to re-load.

    Nice, but you should actually use real coils for the flippers I think :) They are a bit weak now, and the ramps seem a bit too hard to hit.

      @silentbob151a Před 5 lety

      coils are not that expensive either. please use them
