Very helpful. Thank you.
learing to make one always thankful to learn news things on my path
This is turkey feather, not hawk or eagle, but turkeys have one of the most stunning, beautiful feathers I've ever seen ❤ Great tutorial, thank U ❤
Put them on at the end! Bummer. Great video otherwise. I plan to make them
Super enjoyable! Thanks for sharing
8 across and not 7 - 8 represents cardinal points and 4 represent the corners of the earth - stitching and stringing should be left to right with sun facing you - sun rise to sunset be left to right - chokers made by me are with real Eagle bones - should also be 4 strings in each bead -
Can't see what you're doing.
thank you Working on it
That is beautiful. What size is the hole of the bead.
I watched this because I thought you may show what you made with it after "harvesting"
I did do a video fringe bag with the leather
Usually, if you read the fine print or details when buying a leather chair... it will say all leather. where your skin will be touching... like the backrest, seat and the leg portion of a recliner, and it will say that the sides and back are not genuine leather... at least when I bought mine at lazy boy, thats how it was... but they still lasted and still going after 21 years. Its all in how you take care of your furniture and the frame and would that it is made of. My chairs look like the day I bought them.
my chair had a lot of help from the children. they use to jump on it when I was at work
That’s a Turkey Feather 😂
yes it is I do not film or display my Eagle feathers
Thanks for the tutorial bro. It helped me a lot. I'm going to be gifting some medicine bags to some of my family that helped me with my regalia and getting it ready for me and I danced at my pow wow for the first time this past August. I had a question in regards to the thread you were using is that just senew??
yes

Thank you very much for this helpful video ☺
thank you for watching
Thank you I'm going to make one! What materials do you recommend for thread? I don't have what you used.

czcams.com/video/Hsoo5mh89ZI/video.html
Very nicely done! i love the way you tied the sinew! ty for sharing! I've read that eagle, hawk or turkey feathers are best, but what about a crow's or raven's? I love them and have found their feathers.....also Canadian Goose feathers are left all around my property area when they are nesting and raising their babies. Could I use any of these?
any feather would do that have a special meaning to you
Peace big up.givethanks.keep the 7 teachings
thanks for watching
Jessie, thank you for your teachings and videos. Watching your videos I was able to use your techniques and some of my own experimentation to make 20+ medicine bags. I made each bag unique, included the four sacred medicines in each bag, smudged each bag and will be gifting to family members as a reminder that they are all connected. I have stage 4 cancer and I thought this would be a good way to pass on one of the 7 grandfather teachings to my family before my spirit continues it's journey. I have to add that your videos are quite soothing, I could sit with you for hours on your porch crafting. Miigwech for your gift! Giga-waabamin naagaj!
I am touched by your remarks Miigwetch. Cancer took my Nokomis she was the one that showed me a lot of what I make. I make these videos so no more knowledge is lost as my family is not ready yet to learn
So when we let it sit for 24 hours. Does it have to be in a cold environment or just anywhere?
What can I use to dye it black?
I just let it sit out
@@Wretched013Sword if you have walnut tree the husk off the nuts will dye very dark brown . black I am not sure other than sqid ink
did u buy your wild turkey feathers for your bundles? I'm making one right now but stuck at the feathers for now
I get my feathers from hunting or fellow hunters
aanii Nishnawbe what would this sell for? I am thinking of making one to trade with a guy megwetch
because of the style it would range from 150 to 260 depending sellers market also depends on the type of leather and materials the higher the quality of material the higher the price
Thank you so much! This is so helpful.
You're so welcome!
