See. And love is an act of surrender to another person. Total abandonment. I give myself to you. Take me. Do anything you like with me. See. So, that's quite mad because you see, it's letting things get out of control. All sensible people keep things in control. Watch it, watch it, watch it. Security? Vigilance Watch it. Police? Watch it. Guards? Watch it. Who's going to watch the guards? So, actually, therefore, the course of wisdom, what is really sensible, is to let go, is to commit oneself, to give oneself up and that's quite mad. So we come to the strange conclusion that in madness lies sanity."

I will never forgive Julie Plague. I hate Damon. Stefan and Elena deserved to be together. Klaroline were perfection.
Nothing compares to them. Don't get me wrong I do think Caroline loved Stefan and Klaus loved Camille, but there's something about Klaus and Caroline that is so different. Their chemistry is unmatched, the secret looks, the watching from a distance. The fact that Klaus would do anything to protect Caroline even though she pushes him away, even though he knows that Caroline's friends and family (the most important people in her life) would never approve him, Klaus never failed to put her first and make her feel like she was the only girl in the world. Maybe it's the fact that despite all the things that Klaus did to Caroline's friends she knew that he would never hurt her. Or the fact that when Caroline got scared she took her daughters to New Orleans to find Klaus because she felt safe with him, he was her safety. Or the look in Klaus's eyes when Caroline tells him that she went to New Orleans looking for him but he wasn't there. A whole life flashed before his eyes, thinking that he had a chance. Maybe its the way they look at eachother behind closed doors when they are out of the judging eyes of the public. Or perhaps it's the fact that he was willing to wait a lifetime for Caroline, it could be the fact that Caroline saved a voice message from Klaus sent years before. Maybe it's the way that Klaus lights up whenever he is with Caroline, the way they make eachother laugh and smile. It could be the way Caroline is not afraid to put Klaus in his place. I'm not sure what it is but they were meant to be.
every year I come back here, this edit was the reason that I started watching tvd in 2017 and it changed my life in every way.
