This is New Castle Motorsports Park, I've raced there many times, ideally you wanna brake deep, about mid-way between the 2nd and 3rd seals across the track. Be back in gas at the start of the curb and apex anywhere past the 2/3rds point on the curb.

Hi mate. I used to race karts early 2000s, clubman heavy, thinking about getting back into it again . What would be the equivalent kart these days ? And maybe even going up a notch ? I’m now 55 yrs. Just want to be pointed in the right direction I guess. Thanks 👍🏻

I’ve done this soo much, you don’t lose much time if you defend correctly also in rental karting you won’t loose much time
What is the difference between KZ and KT2 gokarts, if both are 125 ccm? Can they drive together in races, training and just for hobby and such?
Not sure what KT2 is. KZ is a 6 speed gearbox category

What do you do when your opponent is a bastard, who tries to push you into the wall/of the track every time you approach him, moves under braking, weaves, pushes you off to take the position, and the stewards don’t give a penalty?

Drying track means different variables You need to balance between driving on the grippier dry stuff, and taking the shorter route
La Conca is 11 hours drive from Tonykart factory…they definitely don’t go there for testing…its all at Lonato that is 30 minutes from the factory

if its a sharp turn lock the rear a little bit just to rotate it and the gas or if ats a normal turn let off then brake then gas

On a national level it shuld not be soft compound tires. Medium at best. This because the more gip you have, smaller drivers will have a big advantage because of weight distribution. In Norway this is a big fact.... More grip = less driver, more engine and kart setup. All inn all it's just BS. Get rid of it.... Lecont's medium, soft slicks and SV1 rain tires is a good example of shit tires.

would you brake like this in a four stroke category too? New to the sport but already close to the front so wanna find those few tenths as quick as possible
Don’t hold the brakes too long in 4 stroke karting. More roll time needed

Not wrong wet line is always different from dry line its basically the opposite because you dont want to drive on the rubber
