Performance will be pretty much the same so it depends on what form factor you prefer. After using the intel X1 I didn’t even bother getting the AMD version because the controllers are so uncomfortable. I don’t want a handheld that doesn’t feel good in the hands. (I did get the x1 mini tho) 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@sanji663 doesn’t need to play every game known to man to pass the challenge. Just needs a good amount of fun,high quality games with controller support. The steam Deck can’t play every game, but it’s still great. There’s levels to it. Gotta have an open mind to what’s possible.

@@sanji663 it is. But it’s more than enough to pass the one week challenge and even beyond depending what games you play. For example, What about those gamers who only play Minecraft? It may not be enough for everyone, but you can’t say it’s not enough for anyone.

The OLED screen is definitely amazing! I love the Deck, but for me the resolution and performance is a little less than I prefer. BUT for my indie game collection it’s hard to beat. 🏆

Which accessory?

The regular OLED has a glossy screen in the 512gb version and an anti reflective screen in the 1tb version. The OLED LE only has a 1Tb anti reflective version and it came in a limited translucent shell with orange accents. Also it was limited, so you can’t get it anymore. (Unless you buy second hand)

@@Drzestrella19great features no doubt! My philosophy after trying them all is that there is no one “best” handheld because everyone wants something different. What will you tell the people that love the larger screen and detachable controllers of the Legion Go? How will you convince the Steam Deck fans that love the OLED, steam OS, and playing with trackpads? “Best” will always be a variety.

I’d probably take the AMD X1 & Win mini as the perfect combo

OXP 2 controllers are 100% more comfortable than the X1. BUT they are much thicker so it wouldn’t really work on the X1 unless the tablet was almost 2x the thickness. But who wants an 11in tablet that thick? 🤷🏽‍♂️ It’s an unfortunate compromise to have a 3in1.

@@BarelyAverageDude oh ya I totally get that, I just meant like if they modeled the X1 controllers closer to that of 2/2 pro to be more proportionate to the 11 inch tablet size then it wouldve been much better if a decision I think, like same materials and whatnot but alter the size a lil bit and maybe move some buttons/joysticks around for optimal ergonomics

I actually have the ROG flow z13 with 4060. It's my go to gaming tablet (I don't use it as a laptop) It's a great device, but you gotta be plugged in if you want more than 25mins of battery.

@@BarelyAverageDude I almost scored one with a i9 and 3050 at BB around Xmas for 1.1k but missed it since I did have the funds. Forgot what gen the i9 was. Ended up getting their One Netbook T1. Bought a Legion Go a few months later. Ya the battery is a down side, IDK if you could switch to the iGPU for low end games

It's definitely possible to play some low end games on the intel Xe graphic, but at that point a current handheld would be much better 🤷🏽‍♂️​@@themadatheist1976

I do agree with you do a degree, but progress is being made and we’ve come a loooong way. This video was already 20min and I didn’t even show 1/5th of the games that I tested Also what do you mean by being “serious about PC gaming” Is there a certain game/games you have to play to be a serious gamer? I know PC is better, I’m a PC gamer; but things are the way they are until they aren’t. Like how the Steam Deck compatibility list grew anything is possible if the right people take notice/action. Maybe it can’t replace my PC yet (or ever, who knows), BUT I can play Cyberpunk and that wasn’t even possible on consoles when it first released 😅🤷🏽‍♂️ I’m having fun

@@BarelyAverageDude By 'serious' I mean like that is your number one priority when buying a computer. If that's the case then yeah no Mac is obviously not the best choice. Considering how long Macs have not been that great for gaming, I personally don't think it will ever be a true competitor in that space, but who knows. If you're having fun, more power to ya, we're all tech nerds here at the end of the day 🤓

@@OCDGeek128 yeah I agree no one should buy a Mac if there goal is to game. Only time will tell, but I’m excited for what’s already possible and what the future may bring. I’m pretty non bias when it comes to tech; I use what works for me. I have an iPhone and a Galaxy, I have an iPad and a Tab s+, I have a gaming PC and a Mac for video editing. I don’t really care who makes something as long as it does what I need it do to. The Mac is not the right tool for gaming; it’s like cutting a tree down with a knife. It’s technically possible, but a waste of effort unless it’s life or death.

@@BarelyAverageDude Well put, yeah I agree! I'm also kind of the same myself, I like to use a little bit of everything. My main machine is a gaming PC I built, I use an iPad 10 and mini mostly around the house, and use a Google Pixel 8 Pro for my phone. So I'm using a little bit of the big three when it comes to OS's, Microsoft, Apple, and Google. Oh and I got a Switch Oled and Steam Deck Oled also. I like the variety and don't want to limit myself to one company. Anyways take care man, I don't want to drag this conversation on too long and bother you with notifications. I haven’t experienced any throttling. But I use a utility to have a custom fan curve so idk about the stock setup.

Iphone is a phone, and will always be just a phone. Sick of people treating it like a dedicated handheld gaming device when it isn’t. I didn’t look this video up by the way. I typed in “Fuck Iphone, buy me a Steam Deck”, then I typed in “ROG Ally is better than Iphone”. Because we all know that at the end of the day, video game streaming is 🐕💩 and app store games frickin suck, my guy.

I own a 13 Pro btw. It’s ok. I also doubt the 15 Pro is much better.

If a kid asked me for a handheld, they’re getting a Switch. If I had to take a handheld to a family games night, I’m taking the Switch for Smash and Mario kart. It’s definitely weak, but it has a place in the gaming world. One man’s trash…

You can’t have anything else connected, that’s the problem. 😅🤷🏽‍♂️ There’s so many reasons someone would want to use both of their ports while in handheld mode, but they don’t even have the option. If the port was accessible in handheld mode, would you say “don’t put anything other than charging cord?”

My personal opinion is when I play using the controllers I would like to be free of any connections while in hanb held mode. But thats just me. FYI i actually have the X1 and never had the need for anything else on it whike playing.

@@arvince99a USB C flash drive or a USB C connector for wireless headphones. These are just 2 examples of things I actually use, not to mention things that other people may want to use. I’m not saying it’s a problem for everyone in every situation but it’s not the best when you lose an option.

This one is definitely one of the best for that. Because you can hold it at the most comfortable angle and then tilt the screen to the most optimal viewing angle it’s much easier on your neck a wrist
