Season 5 - In Confianza Podcast
Are there conversations you wish you could have about your experiences as an immigrant, a first or second generationer, or as someone who identifies as multiracial, bilingual, monolingual?
Well, there’s a place where you can do that with the newest season of In Confianza - that’s I-N Confianza.
Every week on In Confianza, host Liz Rebecca Alarcón (Al-are-CONE) explores the ways Latinos in the US live out their heritage -that shared experience for many of trying to stay connected to familial roots while succeeding in the United States. In conversations that feel kind of whisper-y - from the ways some Latinos feel about guns to the quiet challenges surrounding reproductive health - In Confianza goes deep and gets honest, leaning into the secrets about how it feels to be juggling multiple identities.
These conversations are messy. But WE’RE messy and now, every week, we have a space to talk about this, in confianza.
Find the newest season of In Confianza, that’s I-N Confianza, on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.

😢😢😢😢so sad retirement pray to god ask for healing make god your doctor
And sadly Mascogos have left the TRUE settlers of El Nacimiento (the Kikapúes tribe) in the shadows🤦🏻♂️
Stop lying 🤥........
I’m sure companies rather hire less than increase wages.
Sammy was not Cuban he was half Pueryo Rican. Why would he joke that he was Puerto Rican? He stated even in his book " Yes I Can" that he's was half Pueryo Rican.
🧎🏿♂️➡️🤲🏿 beautiful people
She always plays the victim
La cosa es que nada de lo que describiste como que te representa es taíno.
this is actually my ancestor we traced our lineage back to him.
Spent my whole like to homes. All heart.
I hate Al pastor. Pineapple does not go with meat yuck
*promosm*
If they would’ve let them go to Brazil I would be from brazil😂
"afro latino" wtf 😂
What makes the true Puerto Rican is the mixture of Taino blood and Spaniard blood. That's what the real Puerto Rican, the real Gibaro, is .
How were you able to determine that you are direct descendant of Taino peoples? I traced my family history way back as well and it’s showing indigenous Puerto Rico so I’m genuinely curious as I’d love to visit someday and learn more about it ❤
He was not a black
Love this information! Unsung hero’s!
A revolutionary man. Good to know fact.
This is crazy I meat him in Maryland 😢
This is the kind of thing politicians used to do. Now they just F us over and grub for money.

RIP Msgt. Roy Perez Benavidez 🇲🇽🇲🇽🙏🏽🙏🏽 muchas gracias x lo k hiciste pa la raza y x tu valentía!
You don't have to over pronounce his name home. We get it he's Hispanic but it's annoying af
He's so insanely likeable. There's just an air about him I can't quite put into words.
💕💕👍👍
He was also a Satanists. Look it up.
His Mother was a Black lady born in Cuban making her Cuban by being born there. What if his Mother was born in Japan with both of her parents being Black, that would make her Japanese . Well according to you Sammy Davis would be Japanese. . Malcom X has a perfect quote. "A cat can have her kittens in a oven, that don't make them biscuits there are still kittens"
I'd assume her mom identified as cuban having lived there her whole life. She specifically and only imparted cuban culture in him. It's like having a corvette and completely switching out every thing but the engine with a Porsche frame and parts. Still don't get me wrong I completely agree with you and that's a softly big omission for the clip to have. It's just is really easy for me to understand why she considered herself cuban. Especially with me being an American. This is the home of having another ethnicity but identifying as American. You can't put 100% merit in ethnicity and 0 in culture.
I admired and respected Mr. Davis' talents and skills he acquired over his lifetime in showbusiness! Another brother who "paved" the road for Black entertainers in a mostly prejudice and bigoted industry! Playing the role of a gunslinger in a Western television series ("The Rifleman" w/Chuck Conners), Sammy Davis, Jr., was known in the industry and real-life as "fastest draw" in his time with a pistol! Amazing talent!
Andre 3000 looks just like him i swear. The weird facial expressions too! I love it! Be well all and God bless and keep u always. (Obviously the younger pics). (Well the older too! Haha!)
But what was his father? The Bible states clearly that you are what your father is.
Proctor and Gamble?
Guatemala is NOT overseas it's on the same land mass the USA is on. And NO Central America isn't a continent it is still part of North America.
Anyone know what they learned or were trying to learn??
Its happening now, because they can't use animals to experiment on...
People make the mistake of thinking governments care about people. they don't. they care about money and power.
Started in Alabama I think there's a graveyard for the test subjects
Why are their eyes blurred
They did it to our own citizens too
Did Obama apologize for the Tuskegee experiments?
This is what CZcams is all about! Great video
😳 Wow that's awesome 😎 I totally love that guy 🩵 I even dreamed about him💤 Sammy was a very talented man.. it's awesome to learn his mother was a dancer. ✨He learned from the best. I was so sad when he died. Like Sammy my husband smoked & tragically died. God bless them 🙏🩵
And he also was a quick draw with the six shooter. He actually was fast very good singer just loved his music.
Came here to say that. Lots of people don't know he was a legit gun slinger.
Don't act no slum won't be no slum😅😅😅
If it happened in NYC then democrats did it.
And now in 2023 every neighborhood in New York is Hispanic and black.
Good! 👏
and a slum...
@@Bubba-Ho You don't live in NY and you don't know shït. With a moniker like, *"BUBBA,"* that says it all. We can smell the cow manuer on your boots. Go back into your mama's trailer and have another beer. You might as well since your 1997 F-150 is up on blocks in the yard anyway.
