Nice cows
ive said on the phone video of this. i think its a lovely setup for the the milkers and the cows.
Is 14 a side not a bit small for a 170 cows
no
If anything it’s a bit bigger than he needs, but it’s a good thing to go bigger, as he says less time milking has led to more yield
Should have put a rapid exit for that money
Great vid
Animal killers. Animal abuse enablers
Thank you for not liking skinney coo's.. I think they look awful..
Another side effect of the GPS in the tractor, his drone work is improved. 😂

Salam hormat, Saya dari indonesia, saya seorang anak petani dan lulusan dari sekolah peternakan. Adakah lowongan pekerjaan di perusahaan ini? Saya sangat membutuhkan pekerjaan..
Surprised none smashes in to each other. Very simple system if it ain’t broken why fix it.
Great to see a fellow Firstmilk farm. Would a slurry channel from the further barns to the reception pit be a better investment than a second scraper tractor?
You know you've some yards to scrape when you have two scraper tractors!
Should get a large scraper made 8x4,8x6 save a 5 hours or more a week scraping. I presume he had to buy out the brother's share in the farm to stay farming. The UK interest rates won't help his cause.
Tell your interviews to ignore the camera. 🫡 i do enjoy these vids. Thank you
a very interesting video. There's some black bits on top, probably due to the longer chop length of a forage wagon, what we found too. Very nice face though
Least I still get my TP fix this week without a video haha 😛
Superb quality beef animals Tom, in my opinion a set of four-ribs would be the correct size that I used to buy, and the briskets too, you cannot beat a good boned and rolled brisket.
I'm so pleased to hear that 2024 is the year Tom has marked for his grass rotation being implemented, his milk yields will give him the rewards
Love the videos, but the volume on your closing outro is much louder than the regular video and it is annoying.
how do they stop it frosting up in the winter?
Good video.
Matt and Chrissie are great, there's a group on Facebook for vending machine farmers and they're always happy to answer peoples questions.
Top class set up
Cattle look great Tom 👌👌
Barns Are Designed Incorrectly. As much sunlight as possible must be allowed through the roof into the barn. Natural sunlight is the visible spectrum and Ultra Violet (UVA and UVB) and Infra Red. Sunlight on the earths surface is 40% Infra Red. Greenhill Systems roof that allows light through but the option that allows the most light through the roof must be used being 75% of the light allowed through the roof. Has anyone checked what percentage of Infra Red is blocked by the Greenhill System roof? Cows are mammals and natural sunlight on their skin and into their eyes has phenomenal health benefits. Ultra Violet in sunlight kills pathogens. Infra Red in sunlight has a plethora f overlapping health benefits. In the summer to keep the cows cool use fans and spray a dense mist to cool the cows down. This would not cost very much money. Research project above. What percentage improvement in performance in the weight gain of the cows is there from using the Greenhill Roofing System that allows 75% of the light through? The Farming sector has been blocking all the natural sunlight from barns for more than 130 years this is scientifically incorrect. Barns must allow as much natural sunlight through the roof as possible being the Greenhill Roofing System. The British and Irish climate would be perfect for research into the percentage weight gain improvement using the Greenhill Roofing System and the improved health of the animals from sunlight on their skin If there is a problem with the animals overheating in a heat wave using fans and spraying a dense mist into the barn should resolve this problem very quickly.
@CENTRIX4 I guess these are things you can implement on your own dairy farm! Be great to hear the results.
Additional To The Above Australia the Monk video Monk himself commented using Poly-Tunnels allowing Ultra Violet through the plastic killed pathogens thus healthier cows inside the Poly-Tunnels. However almost all natural sunlight will penetrate the plastic used for the Poly-Tunnels thus not just Ultra Violet but the visible spectrum and Infra Red light. Natural sunlight on the earths surface is 40% Infra Red and Infra Red on mammals skin has phenomenal health benefits. Greenhill Roofing System that allows the light through the roof but the option that allows 75% of the light through the material must be used. It would be interesting to see the difference in improved weight gain and improved health of the animals being housed in barns using the Greenhill Roofing System. Healthier Cows and Bulls produce better quality milk and beef thus farmer makes more money. Using technology to upgrade farming infrastructure being upgrading the roof of barns. Research project above.
my two favorite CZcams channels in one! Excellent!
Great roof . What about safety . Can you walk on them .
Thank you so much for your teaching. I really needed it

Bovine Tuberculosis --- Vectors Of Transmission Badgers are one source of Bovine tuberculosis but how is the Tuberculosis transmitted from the badgers to cows? However are there one or more other sources of Tuberculosis harboured within the ecosystem? Transmission from Badgers to cows by Deer? Deer catch the Tuberculosis from Badgers and then go into the barns where the cows and calves are located to eat their feed and transmit the tuberculosis to the Cows and Calves? Concentrate fed to cows in fields on the ground around feeding troughs the Deer's eat the concentrate and potentially leave Tuberculosis in the saliva on the ground as they lick the concentrate nuts from the ground? Deer going into barns and farmyards eating the feed for cows and leaving traces of Tuberculosis in their saliva as they eat silage and concentrate nuts lying around? Deer feeding at silage pits leaving traces of Tuberculsosi from their saliva on the silage in the silage pits? This would probably be late in the evening and/or at night thus nobody around to witness the Deer eating the feed for the cows and calves and this is how tuberculosis is transmitted from Deer to cows and calves. Are there one or more other routes for transmission of tuberculosis from Badgers to cows and claves? Are there one or more other sources of Tuberculosis harboured within the ecosystem and one or more routes of transmission from wild animals to cows and calves? If Bovine Tuberculosis can be eradicated the savings to livestock farming will be vast. Bovine Tuberculosis must be eradicated at its source before cows and calves catch the Tuberculosis and this includes the source(s) within the ecosystem and the transmission route(s) from wild animals to cows and calves. The above is of global significance. Comments made in previous videos about Bovine Tuberculosis and methods to identify where it is harboured by wild animals in the ecosystem and potential routes of transmission to cows and calves on livestock farms. Resolving the problem of Bovine tuberculosis is the single most important scientific and financial problem for the livestock farming sector. The Achilles Heel of livestock farming is Bovine tuberculosis. What is stopping farmers investing in new technology for example Rotary Milking Parlour is the risk of an outbreak of Bovine Tuberculosis that potentially in a worst case scenario the entire herd would have to be culled. Resolve the problem of Bovine tuberculosis at source being before the Tuberculosis is transmitted to cows and calves and farmers will invest in new technology to upgrade their business for example Rotary Milking Parlour and significantly increase their herd size. Research project above.
Always a great video, plenty of good information always,
Bovine Tuberculosis Vectors Of Transmission How is Bovine Tuberculosis being transmitted to cows and bulls on farms? Tuberculosis is being harbored by one or more sources within the ecosystem. Rats or Mice or Moles or Shrews or Foxes or Deer or Crows or Sea Gulls or Pigeons or Owls or Bats? Where is the Tuberculosis harboured within the ecosystem ad how is it being transmitted to cows and bulls? Bats are mammals is this the source of Bovine tuberculosis? Owls catch a Bat then transmit Tuberculosis to cows and bulls? Birds the Vector of transmission for Tuberculosis to livestock? Crows or Sea Gulls or Pigeons or Owls or Birds of Prey? Essential the source(s) of Tuberculosis is identified and method(s) of transmission to cows and bulls are also identified. Vast sums of money saved to livestock farmers by resolving the above. Above is of global significance. Research project above.

Superbes génisses et lescroise
lovely parlour for the cows and the milkers. so quiet . good on you.
Great set up
Brilliant series of videos for anyone considering a rotary. Hard to find information like this level of detail for the whole process anywhere else. One question at the start of this video it gave the time at start of milking but didn't go back to the time when all milking/washing was complete. What was the time when it was all finished?
Sending three cattle trucks full of cattle to the UK, without any context as to why you are doing that, where the cattle are travelling to and whether those cattle are beef or diary, does make for a pretty boring video. Please explain more.
