As a 17 year old do you have any suggestions on getting into tournament angling?
Honestly not a great occupation. You gotta want it bad enough you may go broke and fall apart. I don’t discourage dreams, but I won’t influence people to go 100% all in. If you want to have fun once a while, join your local club. $50 or lower tournaments in kayak or float tube club.
First I gotta say the video quality is top notch bro! Would’ve love to see you qualify for the championship but man that’s fishing 😢 You’ll bounce back my friend. Keep up the grind!

You fished power shot too? Yeah it mustve been area. Found most fish off that stretch at RS and grass beds up north. There was a better frog bite in diff areas I fished tooo. Wish i found that bite earlier

@@pxfishing wonder if it was area. I was using 1/8 to 3/16 or sometimes lighter. 6” roboworm. I know I got most of my bites when the sun was high during practice and tournament
Man you're quick on the edit 😂. Finished with the exact same length, one spot below you. Lost about a 17" too, and had another big one swipe at a crankbait at the boat. Could have been the difference! Great video.

LOL I took a 100 photos of that fish before it jumped. I was nervous too. Thought maybe the mouth was open but it wasn't. hahaha I haven't found the perfect net yet

I think the double launch may’ve been a good choice as the fish seemed of better quality at the second, however, the lack of a net looks to be the biggest issue you had. Get’em next time!

I tried to direct them to a different spot I didn't catch anything but then I had to set the hook on a walleye as they trolled by me 😢
More and more honey holes are being found thanks to apps like Fishbrain and now most spots are getting overfished sadly
@@commissionerpopo5880 that's very true. Some people like to go over the limits as well. We have the MNR set up surprise checks on the highways, they pull over anyone with a boat to do a check in Ontario

Well i could see his point if you say it was a lifeguard. That would mean that you were near a swimming area and it is not good to fish near beaches bc the hooks and shit that break off and get into peoples feet and arms. Especially children .
There is no swim area near the station. And the water is filled with algae. Dont think anybody wants to swim in it. Also, swimming area is probably 500 yards away from the actual station.

@@DoubleDigitAnglerI got safeguards coming to me with blue lights on the upper lake. They asked me about traffic directions, if I’m aware of it 😅 because my boat was heading opposite side of directions. BUT I was on anchor which is first, and I was searching for the fish which is second… The same guy was keeping too much attention on the lower lake some tome ago 😂. But thx to another guy who was helping me with boat launch in a very windy morning.

If you ever fly down, come get @cheethoe boat. I'll give you a run down how to break the pond down. It's all about patterning them for the given conditions. Grass flats, open water, brush, rock flats, baitfish, weather, deeper breaks, grass lines, shad spawn...It's easier to break down as if it was a smaller part of clear lake. I guess it's similar to mid lake
