The Smiths - Heavy Track Remastered
By Passions Just Like Mine:
"Heavy Track"
(By Marr)
Two different takes of this instrumental were recorded early into the sessions for the "Strangeways, Here We Come" album, in March 1987 at Wool Hall Studios in Bath. Johnny must have had at the time just written the music. It appears that Morrissey never wrote any lyrics for it.
A 2:01 excerpt of one this song's two surviving takes was leaked at the end of 2010 under the title "Untitled Two" on the rarities LP bootleg simply titled "The Smiths". The full 4:41 version of that take remains uncirculated, just like the other take.

The Smiths - Unreleased BBC/Peels Sessions

By Savbomb: Here are versions of the radio sessions that are available in good quality but have not been given an official release. I've run them all through my patented Bob Harris elimination software, so that your enjoyment isn't spoiled by breathing, superfast fade-outs etc. Might not be for everyone, since it involves some processing (I've even gone as far as reverb) and there is some lossy...
The Smiths - Barbarism begins at Home/Crack on the Head (Early Version 1983)
zhlédnutí 2,9KPřed 6 měsíci
Notes By Passions Just Like Mine: This song was introduced live many months before it was released. The earliest version, from 19 December 1983 (Live in Electric Ballroom), had many of these lyrics but a very different verse structure. Most interestingly, it had additional lyrics. As the Smiths played the song live throughout 1984, these extra lyrics were dropped and it would gradually become t...

"Here's one that you haven't heard before... In May 1983 (exact date unkown), while preparing to record their first album, The Smiths ran through a selection of songs at a rehearsal in a room in manager Joe Moss' jeans warehouse. The tape was recorded for Troy Tate, in order to give him something to work with before going into the studio. It's pretty rough but considering it was only recorded o...

What do you see in her? oh.. da da da She's the lifeblood of me As you walk hand in hand And I try, and I try, and I try But I will never understand Oh, What Do You See In her? I Ask Myself, What do you see in her? oh... she will plague you And I will be glad she will pla...
The Smiths - I Misses You (1984)

From Passions Just like mine: This is a late 1984 composition by Johnny for which Morrissey probably wrote words, as he's the one who gave the song its title. However the song was never recorded with vocals and only exists as an (unreleased) instrumental.

The smiths - The Hand That Rocks The Cradle Decibelle Demo 1982
Depois de um tempo, passei a acreditar que quem era realmente o gênio do The Smiths, sempre foi Johnny.
Andy is gazing at that handsome devil😅
Fantastic.
wish this was completed, i would have loved to hear something heavier from them
nice to hear him talking at the end. candid moz!
is it wrong to have burst out laughing at this? never head him sound more drunk-i’m sure he was completely sober though!
Underrated drumming from Mike Joyce
VAMOS LOS SMITHS !!
It remind me of the leaving song part 1 by AFI
I will be reborn today, having another birthday, if eVen MORR of A BOY that I WANT would come FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!
This recording of this sound spoke directly to Me...which helped because I AM All'ahready feeling a but torn inside but, as I AM as strong as I AM Abel to be, I will overcome this situation with God's grace.
saw him at eventim apollo last night. Incredible
I remember seeing a short film of them rehearsing in what looked like a garage or a lockup, with Morrissey occasionally and self-consciously glancing towards the camera, which seemed be placed outside in the open air. Despite much searching I've never found it since. I'm wondering whether this was the occasion?
Two years after i would listen this when I bought the album hatful of hollow in my country Brazil.
thanks a lot ! feeling like sitting at the corner of the studio or playing room !
Definitely can hear Johnny responding to Aztec Camera here.
Thank you for doing this, they sound brilliant
Si la voz de Morrissey no se oyera tan lejos sonara espectacular
JAJAKAJAJAJJA
The bass line at 5:50 is sweet!!!
Thank you for uploading!, Where did you find this?
the quality is killing me im sorry 😭😭😭
😭💀
OMG!!! I just jumped off my shoes!!! Wtf I just heard??? Well, I wonder if the real Morrissey and the Real Robert Smith have heard this one... 😁
I think sweet and tender hooligan was a peel session as well, not sure tho 🤔
Pure class
Stunning quality to these songs
It feels like the jigsaw kidnapped these two and this was their test And they passed, not without difficulties thought 😅
Jonny is no1
This version of london is soooo good
Thanks for the upload, I love this, all raw and like they really were back then, no studio over dubs and sizzle and balls out n excited as they were just beginning.
Odd overdubs 😅
The best band ever 👍❤️🇵🇭
"Heres one for the bootleg friend"
man, that last chord they hit is so very niceeee
The Smiths
There is ❤️Andy's❤️bass line, it's true?
Unfortunately No, there is just Hibber, Marr And morrissey
Johnny Marr talks about recording demos on his 4-track cassete recorder - I wonder if this is one of those recordings? At Johnny's home?
Idk what to say about, let me check that
This one it’s a sound check
@@hakufl2863How did you track it down? It’s quite the rarity!
johnny fu**ing marr
Haunting, mystical and very beautiful. I love this delicate woven version. The Belfast poet Andrew Beattie ❣️
the finest indie guitarrist no doubt
The good ending.
Sounds like something they would release on Meat Is Murder
i have listened to this a million times….new favourite version
Curioso como o riff da versão final ainda não tinha sido escrito.
*Promosm* 🙈
Can you please do “it’s my party I can cry if I want to” by Lesley gore but in morrisseys voice?
I’ll try
this is amazing! thank you! 🙏
: The Smiths are so good, their fucking sound checks become my favorite song from them every now and then.
I can't believe this recording is 40 years old this week. Time flies so fast.
There are 10000s of these about to flood the tubesphere. It has already begun.
Glad to hear this. But I can hear why this didn’t make the cut. -Matt’s dad Mozza!
