NO ONE is saying no to powering up the god dang BB-63 Missouri "Mighty Mo" Iowa-class battleship with Thunderstruck by AC/DC playing just to fight an alien flagship to save the earth. NO ONE, not a single person! Anyone who does, well, it doesn't take a genius that they aren't watching because they were the exact opposite of the movie's target or remote demographic.

One last thing I'll say about this sequence: seeing the Mighty Mo's veterans show up and help get her ready for battle is like the moment in the old westerns when the retired sheriff saddles up one last time to help the good guys.
Quite simply the most awesome scene ever granted to a stupid-ass movie that I have ever had the head-banging pleasure to observe! The movie is beyond idiotic… but I LOVE this scene! (Though the single best line is the old fella in the command chair growling, “Let’s drop some lead on this motherf…!”)

Id rather have an analog battlewagon than some silico diode with missles. This thing is impervious to EMP! We should have at least a dozen of these war horses!
Having met a few WWII vets and spending a lot of time with Korea and Vietnam vets, this is absolutely one of my favorite scenes in any movie. ❤ They respected and honored the men. They didn't try to change them from who they are. And I wouldn't be a bit surprised if most of their lines were ones they came up with themselves. I've been on the receiving end of the "big boys" line more than once, and it was an honor to be invited/included. I remember the first time I watched this movie. As soon as I saw the vets in the background, I was like, "Oh Sh**. They got legit vets. This is going to be the best part of the whole movie." And they did not disappoint.
