I am a NASCAR fan, one of my favorite things to do with my scanner when at a race in person is to tune into the race broadcast on Radio or TV. This is very similar to that. The instant the red light turns off and the producer says "all clear" it's a totally different environment! But then everyone shuts up again when the producer says "stand by" or begins counting down.

This is really interesting, and television radio broadcasting production and technology is a subject that I would really like to work in. Unfortunately, I have dyscalculia, which basically means that algebra, trigonometry, and other similar prequesites, go over my head and under my feet without going into and remaining in my brain 🧠 I can understand complex concepts, as long as they're expressed in words and sentences. I would appreciate any advice regarding overcoming dyscalculia.

We now live in a "guilty until proven innocent" society. The court of public opinion rules. Everyone merely charged with a crime now must immediately endure pre-adjudication punishment, regardless of the outcome. We should not be surprised coming from a criminal penal/justice system that can lock innocent people away in prison for 20+yrs and once a person is finally acquitted, they still have no recourse for damages against those who have wrongly accused and ruined a fellow man's life. I often wonder if we just ruining more and more lives in the pursuit of "protecting" another.

It is SO stupid breaking out of jail lol unless you're looking at a TON of time in Prison or something, it's not even worth the effort. You'll just be constantly looking over your shoulder every day until you get caught eventually, which you will. You WILL get caught eventually, that's about as certain as death and taxes! Sooner or later, and probably when you least expect it and it's the most inconvenient time imaginable, they're going to catch you and not only will you have to do whatever time you originally had but now you'll have an escape charge on top of that to do even more time serving! When, if you would have just done the time to begin with, you'd probably be getting out by then anyway! But without being chased or searched for by the Police! If you're gonna break the law, and you manage to get caught, grow a pair, suck it up, "man up!" call it whatever you want just do your time! Unless you're facing a life sentence, or something like multiple decades in Prison, breaking out is like the LAST thing that you should do. No question about it.

Stay inside and lock doors ??! Would it not be more productive to get residents to arm up and search their own property giving said escapees nowhere to hide.

We are far far far too coddling and gentle with criminals. Then again, we also don't really have a system that points them toward rehabilitation, given our recidivism rates.
