I love olaying th8s on my fs lite

Now this takes me back. When this came out I was young enough to want to play it, but also old enough to recognise the returning characters from Lego Racers. I have fond memories of sweeping the map with a squad of Grav runners, or loading a massive force into four transport ships and launching a mass invasion on the enemy base. If anyone tells you they miss the days when Lego games weren’t all the same, show them Lego Battles. It’s easily the best Lego game of that particular era.

The hell sirens in the album are way scarier, not because it sounds scary but because the build up of it was that the caretaker tries to remember his favorite song only to remember a distorted glimpse of it no matter how hard he tries that's the most he can get, Imagine the desperation and pain. that was the buildup to the hell sirens. When the hell sirens play it is thought that it is PTSD of war. And the aftermath is the same as the buildup. Imagine this the rest of your life.

Holy shit, I remember this! This game introduced me to Strategy games and I've been ruined ever since.

when i first got my DSi Christmas 2009 one of my first games was lego battles and i have to say this game was brilliant and took up a large chunk of my childhood

This track makes me a think of "Once upon a time there was a..." repeating endlessly.

Ah, LEGO Battles. The game that introduced me to real-time strategy. 😊 And long before I got into RTSs about two years ago to boot.

lego batlles was one of my favourate games as a child on the DS definetly LOVED it, so many good memories, I also played so much of the ninjago games

Hey, what about battles ninjago? That was my first RTS, and childhood game of choice Also, I guess I'm a clown for commenting before watching the whole video. I feel extra dumb, but will leave this here for the sake of posterity.

God amen back when i was a small child this would basically be the only game i played even as i gained my first xbox can went more into youtube and minecraft i would always spend hours playing this game even after the general faze ended

Oh man if you liked this you gotta see the 90's show Jim Henson's Storyteller. Its an incredibly retelling of some of the creepiest folk tales from across europe. Freaky Stories is less good, but if you're after something similar to Grizzly Tales it'd be right up your alley! It predates it by a good 9 years or so.

Lego Battles was lit, It was my first rts game didnt really think I would like it but I got hooked.

Oh wow, I used to play this all the time. Completely forgot about it until seeing this.

This was the game that introduced me to RTS games like the Warcraft series. One thing I remember discovering playing as a kid, the space criminal hero was broken. He had an ability that let you convert enemy special units to your side, however it would sometimes glitch and work on any unit. I once used him to convert the enemy hero, and the two of them would constantly heal each other making it impossible to stop my army from flattening the enemy base.

I remember I used to do an exploit with one of the space ships to convert all my enemy's units.

Played this game a ton with my friend on DSI. We would battle in multiplayer but instead of fighting all the time we would make a full story with main characters and go on little adventures and stuff. We would use builders as civilians because they wouldn’t fight each other, and some of the transport ships also wouldn’t attack one another I’m pretty sure

You should try the CIV port to the DS then if you want the arguably best rts of the ds era

I was really bad at this game as a kid so I used cheats to help me through it. Definitely a skill issue. Still really fun though!

I have the Ninjago game, and its brutally difficult. Even after to returning to it earlier this year, I STILL can't beat the final level of the first chapter....

God i miss legos original games. I want a modern day Legoland or LEGO LOCO

I always loved trapping enemies by surrounding them in walls

As someone who plays RTS games that are considered traditional, I'll say that the ability to choose your roster between the different civs' units rather than choosing civs with a specific spread of units, so to speak, with the civs mostly differing in gameplay and a few exclusive units (i.e. in Age of Empires III, the Germans play a primarily cavalry-focused game that has them being shipped their exclusive cavalry unit, the Uhlan, while the Dutch have banks that let them basically generate gold) is rather unique.

I remember staying up on Christmas Eve to unlock Santa cus I didn’t know you could change the time on the ds to cheat it.

Although Supreme Commander 2 is the greatest RTS game in existence, this game is still my go to to relive my childhood

I played the ninjago version of battles. I remember I was kinda disapointed, that it wasnt like Undercover, but I liked it. It was kinda hard for a kid, but it is a very good game. In conparison to what I heard from you, it is very simular. You have a story and free play. You need to build your troops, etc.. the difference is, that you only have heros if I remember right
