Put your back into it, you're a man!
Painful to watch a grown man hammer like that.
Absolutely!!! Pathetic!
Not an expert but it seems to me that you have reduced the strength of that beam. The lower 6" of that beam are now just hanging weight.
This is stronger than a straight notch with an interior 90. Should be a bit of an explanation in vid description if you want to know why.
That's okay, we don't have aloominum over here in the UK, we have the far superior stuff called aluminium....

Overkill on the dowel, otherwise good work.
I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs what size maul is best for splittinig? 8 lbs?
8 lb will split most things. I’m shorter and smaller and can handle it, so you should be fine.
@@appalachianwoodhomestead Is heavier better? Is 8 lbs the starting minimum, what about 10 lbs maul, etc.
@@raczyk You can hurt yourself. Well placed blows and gravity will do most of the work. I think it's better to start lighter than risk hurting yourself with something too heavy.
@@appalachianwoodhomesteadokay, I'll give an 8 lbs maul a go. Do you add force to the strike, or let gravity do most of the work?
After you chop it where you want to use a belt sander to smooth it
Don’t sell them in B&Q
Thank you so much, I have been using DeWalt products for years and yes some did work, on other chargers but my DeWalt DCB105 charger never did seem to work properly, I pushed battery home until it clicked into place, as you described and it is now working perfectly. So very helpful, what would us men do without a good woman to keep us right.😊
Bro there are better ways to do this 😂😂
Damn that is BIG mallet
Good job.
Fred Timberstone.
I get hung up on wanting to make something too complex.
This is relatable. 😅
@appalachianwoodhomestead my first try was a 3D celtic braid. It was going good til I put too much pressure on one of the braids and it snapped. I'll send you a Pic on your X account when I get a chance.
So cool 😭 you should market them. I’ll buy

@@appalachianwoodhomestead ooh fascinating , have you guys done any wood working of specific animals like a blue whale? 🥲
Not yet - only animals so far are chickens at bats. Always happy to try something new, though.
Are you looking for more realistic or cartoonish? Scribed to a rock like lighthouse is?
When Timberframing growing up my dad would call it the “commander”. Fitting name
Yep. That's what we tend to call it. Or "persuader."
Nice to have the time or the money to have it done.
When you have the time, it can be done for very little cost. It's pretty remarkable that you can make a building that can last for generations with little expense and a few hand tools.
A hammer being used as a pecker.lol
Thick N Bushy like mine is 😂 for real tho I appreciate the video and it definitely helped trim my bushy basil.

Love this type framing

Thank you so very much!!!!!! This was exactly what my problem was. I was very frustrated because I thought it was the battery charger itself not working and I have only charged my batteries maybe three times and was very upset thinking that this was a bad product. Again, thank you so much!
Accuracy 🎯 and skill
Great demonstration of the Super Splitter! Thanks
Are you not entertained!?
cool beans 👍
thanks!
I just used the beam saw today for the first time It was such a beast. It was pushing the beam all over the place. I need to clamp the beam so they don't move around. It's not that easy to run a beam saw
They can be a bear, that’s for sure.
Incredible! Nice work!
Thank you. Lots of deliberate practice.
