I was also bloated in the first few days taking the maca root for the first time and it was really uncomfortable and surprising. But I instantly knew it had to be the maca because that was the only thing I'd changed in my diet and I otherwise don't get bloated. The bloating was gone after about 4 days thankfully. And for me, I really like the taste of the maca. It reminds me of biscuits weirdly. I prefer it mixed in multifruit juice. I only take it in the morning or midday, because it energizes you and I sprinkle it with a little ginger just for the extra energy and immune boost. I actually enjoy it better now than coffee, and I'm a big coffee fan, but it feels healthier.

While I took raw macaroni powder it gave me a lot of bloating and it slowed down my digestion. But it helped me with my hair shedding, energy, focus, etc. But the thing that really blew my mind was how it balanced my hormones to the point where I had a 7 day long normal period for the first time after 15 years!!! My period would be 10-14 days long with a lot of clots on my heavy days and when I was three months in taking maca, that changed for good. No clots, no heavy periods and no spotting before my period. I couldn’t believe it because my OB GYN tried to fix it with birth control pills which made me have horrible side effects and sent me to the ER with a possible Blood Clot and horrible chest pain. I stopped using Maca because of the bloating but then I came across the gelatinized version of maca and am taking it now again. Its much more gentle to my digestive system and I am having my energy back again. My hair is not shedding as usual and I am only 3 weeks in again. Maca is an amazing way of taking control over your health in so many ways when it comes to hormone imbalances, which a lot of people don’t know they have. I do suggest people to give it a try and if you have a sensitive digestive system to go straight to the gelatinized version.

My situation is a little different, I was allergic to a lot and because of my allergies I developed distain for a lot of foods, I TOTALLY understand how you feel about eggs, I prepare it for others, but no matter what, I CANNOT bring myself to eat it 😭😭. I’m trying to find a way to put on weight, and from what I can tell (i haven’t even finished watching yet, I’m at 5:09) but I really hope that you can give a type of advice that I haven’t really been getting from other influencers.
